Ravens | James Proche leaves early Mon Aug 23, 01:48 PM
Baltimore Ravens WR James Proche (back) left practice early Monday, Aug. 23, after suffering an apparent back injury.
Footballguys view: The Ravens WR corps has been snakebit this year, and Proche is just the latest to go down with an injury. Proche, a sixth-round pick out of SMU in the 2020 NFL draft, is a reliable possession receiver. In addition to what he can do as a receiver, Proche can work on special teams as well. We'll see how long this back injury knocks him out of action and we'll continue to monitor Proche but only in deep dynasty formats. |

Ravens | James Proche may be returner Fri Aug 7, 06:10 PM
Baltimore Ravens WR James Proche is considered the leading candidate for the punt returner job this season. WR Willie Snead and Marquise Brown are also options for the job.

Ravens | James Proche getting familiar with his QBs Tue Jun 9, 09:40 PM
Baltimore Ravens WR James Proche caught passes from QBs Lamar Jackson and Trace McSorley last week in south Florida. This week, he is doing the same with QB Robert Griffin III.
Footballguys view: Proche was dominant for SMU over the last two seasons snaring 209 passes and a whopping 27 touchdowns. He's a reserve receiver for the Ravens this season as the 2020 sixth-round pick needs to learn more nuance as a route-runner. Proche is dominant when tracking the ball downfield and can make difficult catches seem routine. We'll monitor him in deep dynasty formats. |

Ravens | Baltimore rookie WRs are versatile Thu May 7, 12:43 PM
Baltimore Ravens WRs James Proche and Devin Duvernay enter their rookie seasons projected to play out of the slot, but both are capable of lining up on the outside. Baltimore doesn't have traditionally defined roles for receivers, according to head coach John Harbaugh. Both players were also credited for their hands, and Duvernay's 4.39-second 40-yard time was discussed by Harbaugh.'We're pretty diverse on our offense, as you know, and we have different kinds of option plays and RPO plays and dropback passes and deep passes, play-action passes, and we have one guy that can really run like crazy and make all kinds of catches,' Harbaugh said. 'We have another guy who can really run routes and has a feel for getting open and catch the ball like crazy. So, Lamar [Jackson] is going to love both those guys.'
Footballguys view: Proche is a strong slot receiver while Duvernay's game is all about speed. Both can be problems for defensive coordinators and we could see them become favorite targets of QB Lamar Jackson. As we continue to see Jackson develop as a quarterback, the Ravens passing game becomes more exciting from a fantasy perspective. |

Ravens | James Proche under contract Wed May 6, 05:16 PM
Baltimore Ravens sixth-round draft choice WR James Proche signed a four-year contract with the Ravens Wednesday, May 6. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Footballguys view: Proche is a strong slot receiver with a nose for the end zone (27 touchdowns over the last two years). He has amazing ball skills and thrives on winning contested catches. Proche lacks long speed but his competitive nature on intermediate routes could make him a favorite target of QB Lamar Jackson. We'll see how Proche fits into the pecking order at wide receiver for the Ravens. He's likely competing for the No.4 spot in the room. |

Southern Methodist WR James Proche is 'starting to look like a midrounder' in the 2020 NFL Draft after his performance during Senior Bowl week, according to Todd McShay of ESPN.
Footballguys view: We could see Proche working his way into the mid rounds of the 2020 NFL draft. Proche is your classic slot receiver, so naturally a team like the Patriots should be interested. The SMU wideout did a good job of making plays at the Senior Bowl earlier this year. |
