Summary

A truly dominant edge rusher, Houston rises above the one-dimensional tier and makes for a consistently stout big-play target. Of course, that's only the case when he's at full strength, which he hasn't been since mid-2015. Since then, he's dealt with a troublesome ACL tear that cost him the first half of 2016 and led to an inflammation, which drastically limited his late-season snap count. Still, his on-field dominance is such that we can keep him slotted aggressively in our IDP rankings. Houston has registered 34 sacks over his last 30 games, a fairly wide-spanning mark that suggests another season of elite playmaking production. It's always a shaky proposition to value low-tackle, high-splash guys on the LB2 level, but Houston's dynamism isn't to be questioned. There's a strong chance he'll outperform several "safe," sanitized, tackle-first LB options that come off the board multiple rounds earlier. (May 21)

Our View: Houston has been bothered by knee problems each of the last two years and has been limited to 16 games total during that time. One of the best pass rushers in the league when healthy, Houston could easily post double-digit sacks in 2017.
