Summary

Justin Houston took a major leap forward in the first half of 2013 before missing much of the second half due to injury. Houston had 11 sacks in the first 8 weeks of the season including a 4.5 sack day against Philadelphia in week 3. It was his second consecutive season with double digit sacks and it looks as if Houston has overtaken Tamba Hali as the most prolific pass rusher in Kansas City. Houston also posts respectable tackle totals for a pass rusher, averaging around 4 tackles per game over the last two years. With Hali on the opposite side and Dontari Poe manning the middle, teams are not able to devote as much attention to stop Houston as they need to. (May 7)
