| Footballguys view: This is a bit of surprise, but after the team drafted Jessie Bates the door was open for Iloka to be replaced. Bates was in with the first team over Iloka in the second preseason game, and one beat reporter passed on that the Bengals were looking for his replacement since February. No Bengal defender played more snaps than Iloka last year, and he should catch on elsewhere, but in a soft safety market, for much less than his 5.3 million dollar paycheck due from the Bengals if he had made the team. |
