Texans | Surgery for Daesean Hamilton Tue Jun 7, 07:15 PM
Houston Texans WR Daesean Hamilton (knee) is scheduled to undergo surgery Wednesday, June 8, on the knee he injured during practice Tuesday, June 7, according to sources.
Footballguys view: He hasn't played since 2020, and injuries have hampered him throughout his pro career. He did not suffer a torn anterior cruciate ligament and is expected to return at some point this year. |

Texans | DaeSean Hamilton carted off with injury Tue Jun 7, 11:14 AM
Houston Texans WR DaeSean Hamilton (knee) went down with an apparent right knee injury Tuesday, June 7, at minicamp. Trainers examined his knee on the field, and he had to get helped to the cart to leave practice.
Footballguys view: A fourth-round pick (Penn State) in the 2018 NFL draft, Hamilton couldn't stay healthy and never did much during his time with the Broncos. The Texans signed him a couple of months ago after Hamilton missed all of the 2021 season and now he's hurt again. This could be it for the veteran receiver. |

Broncos | DaeSean Hamilton clears waivers Wed May 19, 04:51 PM
Free-agent WR DaeSean Hamilton (knee) reverted to the Denver Broncos' Reserve/Non-Football Injury list after clearing waivers Wednesday, May 19.
Footballguys view: The Broncos have had two players get hurt away from the team recently. Ja'wuan James was released after the team expected him to be the starting right tackle. Hamilton was on the trade block, but obviously won't get any interest now. Since he wasn't in the team's plans this year, his injury doesn't increase the chances of boom/bust sixth round pick Seth Williams making the team. |

Broncos | Daesean Hamilton has torn ACL Fri May 14, 05:02 PM
Denver Broncos WR Daesean Hamilton (knee) recently suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament, according to sources.
Footballguys view: Hamilton was supposed to be released on Thursday. Then, it was revealed he might get traded away instead. Now, he's got an ACL injury and won't be able to pass a physical. He'll struggle to find a team in 2021 depending on how long his recovery takes from this injury. |

Broncos | DaeSean Hamilton cut Thu May 13, 04:49 PM
Updating previous reports, Denver Broncos WR DaeSean Hamilton was waived Thursday, May 13, after the team failed to find a trading partner.
Footballguys view: Hamilton was supposed to be a guy who developed into a no.2 receiver for the Broncos ala Emmanuel Sanders but that never happened. Instead, Hamilton was banged up, struggled with drops and seemed to lose confidence when he was on the field. He needed a fresh start and should have a few teams interested in his services. |

Broncos | DaeSean Hamilton works with starters Fri Aug 14, 03:59 PM
Denver Broncos WR DaeSean Hamilton worked with the first-team offense during practice Friday, Aug. 14.
Footballguys view: The Broncos are having Hamilton and Tim Patrick run with the first as part of a you have to earn it program for first round pick Jerry Jeudy and second round KJ Hamler. If the draft picks don't start getting most or all of the first team snaps soon then it will be time to lower their redraft stock. |

Broncos | Denver's top four receivers set? Tue Jun 2, 07:15 PM
Denver Broncos WRs Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy, KJ Hamler and Tim Patrick are considered locks to make the 2020 team, according to Ryan O'Halloran of The Denver Post. WRs Diontae Spencer, DaeSean Hamilton, Tyrie Cleveland and Juwann Winfree will compete for the returner and sixth receiver jobs.
Footballguys view: That sounds about right. Patrick would be ahead of DaeSean Hamilton in our view because of his rare physical gifts (size/speed/athleticism). Hamilton is more of a route-running technician but his hands have been suspect in two years and he doesn't have much juice after the catch. Spencer is a return man who played well for the Broncos, while Cleveland was a late-round pick this year and Winfree was a late-round pick last year. The Broncos all of a sudden have a jam-packed room at the WR position. |

Broncos | DaeSean Hamilton may be on bubble Mon May 11, 06:49 PM
Denver Broncos WR DaeSean Hamilton may be a candidate to be released or traded before the start of the season since he likely will be the fourth or fifth receiver and does not play on special teams, in the opinion of ESPN.com's Bill Barnwell.
Footballguys view: Hamilton has disappointed during his pro career. A third-round pick in the 2018 NFL draft, Hamilton was supposed to take over for Emmanuel Sanders but that never came to fruition. Even after Sanders was traded, Hamilton didn't do what the team expected him to. They drafted three receivers in the draft, two in the first two rounds (Jerry Jeudy, K.J. Hamler) so Hamilton is either going to be buried on the depth chart or off the 53-man roster. |

Broncos | DaeSean Hamilton back in pads Sun Aug 4, 09:01 PM
Denver Broncos WR DaeSean Hamilton (hamstring) was back at practice in full pads Sunday, Aug. 4.
Footballguys view: Good news for Hamilton, who is trying to build rapport with Joe Flacco. His late round appeal has dimmed with the good news about Emmanuel Sanders recovery and this injury, but he can regenerate momentum with a good remainder of camp and the preseason. |

Broncos | Optimism for DaeSean Hamilton Fri Jul 26, 10:59 AM
Updating previous reports, Denver Broncos WR DaeSean Hamilton's (hamstring) injury is believed to be a short-term thing, according to head coach Vic Fangio.
Footballguys view: Hamilton is still missing key time to develop chemistry with Joe Flacco, while Emmanuel Sanders is ahead of schedule and ready to be the #1. Hamilton gets closer to falling off of typical draft radar with every day he spends on the sidelines. |

Broncos | DaeSean Hamilton leaves practice early Wed Jul 24, 08:38 PM
Denver Broncos WR DaeSean Hamilton (hamstring) left practice early Wednesday, July 24, because of a hamstring injury.
Footballguys view: Emmanuel Sanders might be healthier than Hamilton at this point. He is quickly falling off of the redraft radar unless he gets back on the field soon. With a new quarterback and offensive coordinator, these practices are crucial for young players trying to earn playing time. |

Broncos | DaeSean Hamilton shines in practice Thu Jul 18, 10:26 PM
Denver Broncos WR DaeSean Hamilton had 'a slew of solid receptions' for the first-team offense during training camp Thursday, July 18.
Footballguys view: Hamilton is working to be the No. 3 WR for the Broncos this year behind Courtland Sutton and Emmanuel Sanders. He's a great route-runner and generally has strong hands and good concentration. The No. 3 WR for Denver won't get a ton of work s the Rich Scangarello offense will regularly feature two-TE sets. |

Broncos | DaeSean Hamilton likely to be No. 3 WR Wed Jul 10, 06:23 PM
Denver Broncos WR DaeSean Hamilton is expected to be the No. 3 receiver for the Broncos this season and will be used mostly as a slot receiver.
Footballguys view: Hamilton didn't impress as a rookie in 2018. He's a refined route runner and can get open against tight coverage, but at times he looked lost as a rookie and Hamilton dealt with injuries towards the end of the season. The Broncos hope the future of the WR corps is Courtland Sutton as the No. 1 and Hamilton as the eventual No. 2 receiver...likely if/when Emmanuel Sanders moves on in 2020. |

Broncos | DaeSean Hamilton limited by knee late in 2018 Tue May 21, 03:21 PM
Denver Broncos WR DaeSean Hamilton spent much of his offseason training in Florida to increase his weight and improve himself physically after struggling with a knee injury near the end of his rookie season, according to Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic. Hamilton added his knee feels 'great' now.
Footballguys view: Hamilton is a great route runner and is looking to make an impact as Denver's no.3 wide receiver. Courtland Sutton should be the leading receiver for the Broncos with Emmanuel Sanders (when healthy) working as a quality no.2 receiver. That doesn't leave much for Hamilton, especially considering TE Noah Fant could catch quite a few passes this season. Continue to monitor or roster Hamilton in dynasty formats while he works for a larger opportunity. |

Broncos | DaeSean Hamilton taking over in slot Thu Dec 6, 12:28 PM
Denver Broncos WR DaeSean Hamilton will be featured in the slot going forward with the loss of WR Emmanuel Sanders (Achilles'). WR River Cracraft is also expected to see time in the slot position.
Footballguys view: Hamilton has some desperation play possibilities, but the reality is that the Broncos are likely to throw the ball 25 or fewer times at San Francisco. It will be great to get some evaluation tape for dynasty leaguers mulling over Hamilton's potential for the future. |

Footballguys view: Getting Freeman back would be a boost to the rushing attack.
