Main      Career stats      Game Logs      Latest News

Miller underwent surgery on his torn right ACL in early January, and has a six-to-nine-month rehabilitation facing him - he is unlikely to take fully take part in training camp and Miller might only be ready for part-time duty as a pass rusher when the season opens.

Summary

Miller is a supremely talented pass rusher that missed 6 games last year due to a violation of the league's substance abuse program. In his first two years in the league Miller tallied 30 sacks and forced 8 fumbles. When he's healthy and in shape he's virtually unblockable for one man. When Miller returned from his suspension he had gained wait and didn't look as explosive last year. He totaled 5 sacks in 9 games before tearing his ACL on December 22nd. If Miller gets healthy and stays clean he could once again be one of the most fearsome pass rushers in the league. (May 16)

Latest News

Broncos | Von Miller to avoid contact for a while (Wed Jul 23, 04:42 PM) - Denver Broncos LB Von Miller (knee) will not take part in any contact until the third preseason game at the earliest.

Our View: This is no surprise. The Broncos want Miller healthy for the start of the regular season. He's coming back from the knee injury he suffered last year in the Week 16 game against the Houston Texans. If healthy, Miller should be one of the best pass-rushers in the league again after a disappointing 2013 season.

Broncos | Von Miller avoids PUP (Wed Jul 23, 02:52 PM) - Denver Broncos LB Von Miller (knee) will not be placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list, and he has been cleared for limited work.

Our View: Great news for the Broncos here. He looked to be ahead in the recovery process, and now he will get to be eased into practice at Dove Valley. If healthy, Miller should be a dominant force as a pass-rusher. Opposite of him this year will be free agent addition DeMarcus Ware. The Broncos will be able to put a ton of pressure on opposing quarterbacks in 2014.

Broncos | Four could go on PUP (Mon Jul 21, 11:43 AM) - Denver Broncos LB Von Miller (knee), CB Chris Harris Jr. (knee), DT Kevin Vickerson (hip) and TE Joel Dreessen (knee) could begin the preseason on the Physically Unable to Perform list.

Our View: We wouldn't be shocked to see all four of these players go on PUP to begin training camp. The Broncos want Miller and Harris to be ready for the start of regular season. Both are coming back from late-season knee injuries suffered in 2013. Miller seems to be ahead in the recovery process, but expect the team to take it easy on him when he does come back.
