Colts | Coach wants Trent Richardson at workouts Fri Apr 18, 08:18 PM
Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano said it will be important for RB Trent Richardson to participate in all of the offseason workouts so he can get more comfortable with the offense. 'He wants to be great. He's got all the talent. He's got all the ability. We would have never done what we did if we didn't believe that deep down in our core. So we look for him to have a great offseason and to have a great 2014 campaign,' Pagano said.
|Footballguys view: Richardson needs to do everything he possibly can to get better. He was a disappointing addition last year after the Colts traded a 2014 first-round pick for him. We'll see if he can bounce back and play up to his enormous potential in 2014.|

Fresno State QB Derek Carr said he believes there is a good chance that he will be selected in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft based on what coaches and general managers have told him.
|Footballguys view: Carr certainly has a chance to be a late first- or early second-round pick. He'll interest teams that pass on a quarterback in the top 10. Carr has a strong arm and is athletic enough to make plays with his feet.|
Rams | Will pick up Robert Quinn's option Fri Apr 18, 07:22 PM
The St. Louis Rams have not picked up the fifth-year option in DE Robert Quinn's contract at this point but will exercise the option before the May 3 deadline.
|Footballguys view: Zero surprise here. Quinn is one of the best pass-rushers in the game today. The Rams will do their best to eventually lock him up with a long-term deal.|

|Footballguys view: We're not certain there will be much if any interest in Clausen. He was a bust as a starter with the Panthers, and he may not even be able to stick around in the league as a backup.|

Giants | Eli Manning has had procedures in the past no one knew about Fri Apr 18, 05:09 PM
Former New York Giants offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride said on SiriusXM NFL Radio QB Eli Manning has recovered from minor procedures no one knew about in the past.
|Footballguys view: Not a surprise here. Several players across the league are likely going under the knife without many knowing about it. Manning is going to try to bounce back from a down season, but this year he'll be without Gilbride. That offense was boring and predictable. We'll see what kind of new wrinkles new OC Ben McAdoo can give the Giants on offense.|

Miami Dolphins WR Brandon Gibson (knee) said he expects to be ready to go for Week 1 of the NFL season.
|Footballguys view: Gibson gives the Dolphins good depth at the wide receiver position, and he's also a decent red-zone threat. We're not expecting Gibson to be much of a fantasy factor in 2014 unless injuries hit in front of him on the depth chart.|

Patriots | Visit with Marqise Lee Fri Apr 18, 03:03 PM
The New England Patriots visited with Southern California WR Marqise Lee this week.
|Footballguys view: Lee is a precise route-runner who is pro ready. He is quick in and out of his breaks, and he'll create separation at the top of the route tree. Lee does have to stop body catching so many passes. He'll secure the pass, but it won't be as cleanly because he doesn't regularly snare them with his hands.|

Browns | Blake Bortles to visit Fri Apr 18, 01:27 PM
Central Florida QB Blake Bortles is scheduled to visit the Cleveland Browns Monday April 21, and Tuesday, April 22.
|Footballguys view: The Browns are likely to select a quarterback in the first round, and Bortles could be that guy. He's a big pocket passer who has a little Ben Roethlisberger to his game. Bortles can make all the throws in the NFL and he can pick up yards with his feet if the play breaks down.|
Jaguars | Schedule second visit with Teddy Bridgewater Fri Apr 18, 01:20 PM
The Jacksonville Jaguars have scheduled a second visit and workout with Louisville QB Teddy Bridgewater.
|Footballguys view: His draft stock has been declining ever since his pro day, but Bridgewater is still our number one quarterback this year. It's simple really; he's incredibly accurate and he has high football intelligence. The Jaguars are considering quarterbacks in the first and second round. Bridgewater should be high on their list.|
Texans | Will meet with Teddy Bridgewater Fri Apr 18, 01:20 PM
The Houston Texans will meet with Louisville QB Teddy Bridgewater next week.
|Footballguys view: Bridgewater is still an option for the Texans at number one overall. He's incredibly accurate, has high football intelligence and he does a good job of distributing the football evenly around the field.|

Steelers | Interested in Andre Williams Fri Apr 18, 09:33 AM
The Pittsburgh Steelers are interested in Boston College RB Andre Williams.
|Footballguys view: Williams is a big back with a little wiggle and build-up speed at the second level. He runs too upright which makes him an even larger target for defenders to tackle. With 10 receptions during his college career, Williams is pretty much a non-factor in the passing game. The two-down thumper is currently graded as a third-round pick. The Steelers added LeGarrette Blount in free agency, but they still might add a back in the draft.|
