Footballguys view: Bad news for LaFell here. He's a free agent in 2019 and the veteran receiver might have suffered a career-ending injury with this Achilles' injury. He may struggle to be ready for the start of the regular season in 2019 and might find it difficult to find work even if he was fully healthy.

Footballguys view: This move has been expected for some time and now it's official. Without Kupp, the Rams should get more playing time for WR Josh Reynolds. They have a couple of TEs (Gerald Everett, Tyler Higbee) who could see a slight increase in targets with Kupp out for the year.

Footballguys view: Smith's gruesome injury ends his season and is possibly career-ending as well. He suffered compound and spiral fractures when he broke his tibia and fibula in his right leg. Washington moves forward with Colt McCoy as their starter and Mark Sanchez as his backup.

Footballguys view: Martin was benched in the game against the Cardinals at halftime. Gruden added that he hopes to have RB DeAndre Washington involved more over the last six games of the season. The Raiders now have a three-man RBBC featuring Jalen Richard as the receiving back and Martin/Washington competing for carries.

Tennessee Titans defensive coordinator Dean Pees (undetermined) was kept in the hospital overnight Sunday, Nov. 18, but is headed back to Nashville on Monday, Nov. 19. Head coach Mike Vrabel told reporters 'everything that would be really worrisome has been ruled out from the neurologists,' and joked the team is posting guards at the facility to make sure he doesn't try to come into work Monday. Pees was taken to a local hospital after experiencing an undetermined medical issue during the Titans' Week 11 loss at the Indianapolis Colts.

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (hip) has 'a chance' to play in Week 12 against the Oakland Raiders, according to head coach John Harbaugh.'It's not a surgical thing. It's a calming down type of thing with the hip,' Harbaugh said.

Footballguys view: The Ravens went run-heavy on offense with QB Lamar Jackson starting in Week 11. Even Jackson had 27 carries in a win over the Bengals on Sunday. We'll know more about Flacco's status during the week of practice.

Miami Dolphins WR Jakeem Grant (leg) is scheduled to undergo lower leg surgery Monday, Nov. 19, and will miss the rest of the 2018 season, according to head coach Adam Gase, who added that he hopes Grant will be ready in time for spring workouts but will 'absolutely be back' for the start of next season.

Footballguys view: Grant is an explosive player as a receiver or return man. The Dolphins will now turn to Brice Butler to give them receiver depth behind Kenny Stills, DeVante Parker and Danny Amendola.

Footballguys view: Smith faces a long road to recovery and his status for the beginning of the 2019 season is unknown at this time. Washington turns to Colt McCoy as their starter with Smith out. They'll have to make a move to add a quarterback as Smith and McCoy are the only QBs on the roster.
