Cardinals | Three draft picks sign    Thu May 15, 06:46 PM

The Arizona Cardinals signed TE Troy Niklas (second round), DE Kareem Martin (third round) and WR John Brown (third round) to undisclosed four-year deals Thursday, May 15.

Footballguys view: Niklas and Brown are the players fantasy owners want to monitor here. The Cardinals needed TE help, and Niklas will provide that in 2014. Niklas is an in-line tight end who can pick up yards after the catch. He's a huge target (6'6" 270 pounds), and that will make him a fine option for Carson Palmer in the red zone. Brown is a speedy (4.34 40-yard dash at the combine) wide receiver who can work underneath routes. Bruce Arians got himself the Arizona version of T.Y. Hilton if Brown develops his pro game.

Cardinals | Agree to terms with Kareem Martin    Thu May 15, 05:41 PM

The Arizona Cardinals have agreed to terms with third-round pick DE Kareem Martin, according to a league source.

Footballguys view: At 6'6" 270 pounds, Martin can set the edge as a run defender. He's not laterally agile, but he has enough athleticism to work well as a speed rusher. Martin also uses a bull-rush to get after the quarterback.
