Denver Broncos CB Cyrus Jones (heart) underwent successful open-heart surgery Thursday, Dec. 12, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. The procedure was deemed necessary because Jones was born with an anomalous coronary artery, which is a congenital heart defect which causes an artery to grow in the wrong place.
