Our View: Hightower has a chance to play this week. We should see him return to the field in Week 4 at the latest. It's great news for the Patriots as Hightower is a difference maker on that defense.

Our View: Hightower is one of the last credible edge rushers on the Patriots roster. They could be looking to make a deal soon.

Patriots | Week 2 injury report for Patriots (Fri Sep 15, 05:25 PM) - New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola (concussion, knee), WR Matthew Slater (hamstring), DT Vincent Valentine (knee) and LB Dont'a Hightower (knee) did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 15, and have been ruled out for Week 2. OT Marcus Cannon (ankle), FS Nate Ebner (shoulder) and FS Devin McCourty (groin) were limited during practice and are listed as questionable. OT Cameron Fleming (ankle) and DT Adam Butler (knee) fully participated in practice and are not on the injury report.

Our View: The team will miss Hightower, one of their best pass rushers. Running backs Rex Burkhead and James White could help replace the snaps and targets vacated by Amendola.
