Week 11: vs Houston Texans

All QB vs HOU

FBG says: Good matchup. Lamar Jackson flashed his passing prowess in last week's blowout win as he completed a season-high 88.2 percent of pass attempts for 223 yards and three touchdowns in just three quarters of play. While he will continue to lean on his rushing skills, Jackson has displayed on multiple occasions that he is capable of creating plays through the air given the receiving talent at his disposal. The tight end position has been integral to this Baltimore passing offense as their three tight ends have received a combined 116 targets--six more targets than all Ravens wide receivers combined. Mark Andrews handily leads the team in targets (66) and ranks as the third-best fantasy tight end in football, racking up at least 45 receiving yards in five of nine games with five touchdowns on the season--including two last week. Tight end Nick Boyle is also a name to watch as he has seen an uptick in snaps and nine targets in the past two games. Boyle hauled in all four of his targets last week for 78 yards with three of those catches going for first downs. Top wide receiver Marquise Brown remains the top big-play threat with his elite speed now that he has recovered from injury. Brown is a big-play threat week in and week out, but volume remains a concern as he has caught more than four balls just once this season while crossing the 50-yard mark only three times. The Texans pass defense may have looked unstoppable in their last game against the Jaguars, but much of their success can be attributed to sheet ineptitude on behalf of Jacksonville, as that offense had a particularly horrible game. The Texans had given up at least three passing touchdowns in four straight games leading into Week 9, and this group has allowed multiple passing touchdowns in six of nine games played this season. Wide receivers have been having a field day against this secondary, scoring the fourth-most fantasy points per game (PPR scoring) on the season. The Texans did try to address what they knew was a weakness by trading for Gareon Conley leading into Week 8. Conley has performed well since arriving in Houston, actually defending five passes in his two games started after defending just two passes in six games with the Raiders. Both Johnathan Joseph and Bradley Roby have battled injuries recently though, with Joseph back on the field and Roby questionable coming into this week. All three of these cornerbacks are winnable matchups for Ravens wide receivers, while the Texans safeties and linebackers will also afford plenty of opportunities to the Ravens tight ends--even if starting safety Tashaun Gipson does return from injury this week.
