Texans | Two land on IR    Tue Dec 24, 08:18 PM

The Houston Texans placed CB Johnathan Joseph (toe) and RB Deji Karim (shoulder) on the season-ending Injured Reserve list Tuesday, Dec. 24. The team also signed free-agent RB Ray Graham (Steelers) to the active roster.

Footballguys view: Graham was with the team earlier this year before getting cut and landing in Pittsburgh. He'll serve as a backup runner behind Week 17 starter Jonathan Grimes. We like Graham's dynasty stock more than that of Grimes in deeper leagues.

Steelers | Ray Graham working out    Tue Nov 19, 11:23 AM

The Pittsburgh Steelers are working out free-agent RB Ray Graham (Texans) Tuesday, Nov. 19.

Footballguys view: Graham is worth monitoring in super deep dynasty leagues. He played college ball at PITT and runs with good balance, vision and burst out of his cuts.

The Houston Texans have declared OT Andrew Gardner, RB Arian Foster, OG Cody White, LB Mike Mohamed, RB Ray Graham, QB T.J. Yates, DL Tim Jamison inactive for Week 10.

Footballguys view: Graham is still far from contributing as a healthy scratch even with Arian Foster inactive.

Texans | Four players signed    Mon Oct 28, 01:56 PM

The Houston Texans have signed free-agent LB Tavares Gooden (49ers) and LB Jeff Tarpinian (Panthers). Terms of the contracts were not disclosed. The team also signed RB Dennis Johnson off the Cleveland Browns' practice squad and practice squad RB Ray Graham to their active roster.

Footballguys view: Graham gets called up to the active roster due to the injuries to Arian Foster (hamstring) and Ben Tate (ribs). There's no word on how severe either injury is, but the team needs to be ready in case they miss playing time. We like Graham's balance, burst and natural instincts as a runner.

Texans | Ray Graham could be added to roster    Mon Oct 21, 05:26 PM

The Houston Texans may sign practice squad RB Ray Graham to their active roster after they released RB Cierre Wood. The team will look into veteran running backs before deciding whether to add Graham to the roster.

Footballguys view: We like Graham in super deep dynasty leagues. He's built low to the ground, runs with good balance, and has the vision to be an effective runner in a zone blocking system.

  Texans | Eight re-signed    Wed Sep 4, 09:05 AM

The Houston Texans re-signed DE Keith Browner, FB Zach Boren, CB Rashad Carmichael, WR Andy Cruse, RB Ray Graham, OG Alex Kupper, LB Mike Mohamed and WR Uzoma Nwachukwu to the practice squad.

Footballguys view: Graham is an interesting name here. He's a natural runner with proper balance, vision and cutback ability. We'll see if he can continue to get healthy as he still doesn't seem to be all the way back from a knee injury he suffered his junior season at PITT.

Texans | Roster trimmed by eight    Tue Aug 27, 12:56 AM

The Houston Texans released FB Zach Boren, LB Elliot Coffey, OG Bryan Collins, RB Ray Graham, CB Travis Howard, OT Nick Mondek, DE Earl Okine and P Andrew Shapiro Monday, Aug. 26.

Footballguys view: Graham just hasn't recovered his speed and agility since a knee injury cut his junior season short at PITT. We like his instincts for running the football but he has to make it to a practice squad at least to be worth monitoring in super deep dynasty leagues.

Texans | Several expected to compete for No. 3 RB job    Wed May 15, 03:45 PM

Houston Texans RBs Deji Karim, Cierre Wood, Dennis Johnson and Ray Graham are expected to compete for the No. 3 running back job during offseason workouts and training camp.

Footballguys view: We like Graham in this race to be RB3. The PITT runner looked like he was back to full speed at the Shrine Game earlier this year. He's a natural runner who can make defenders miss in the open field. Wood is also an intriguing option because he's a versatile player.

Texans | Two RBs added    Sun Apr 28, 12:14 AM

The Houston Texans signed undrafted free agent RBs Ray Graham (Pittsburgh) and Cierre Wood (Notre Dame) Saturday, April 27.

Footballguys view: The Texans also added two other draftable running backs - Dennis Johnson of Arkansas and George Winn of Cincinnati. With Ben Tate a free agent next year and Arian Foster coming out of similar modest UDFA roots, the one or two of these guys that stick will be worth owning in deep dynasty leagues.

NFL | Ray Graham works at Pro Day    Wed Mar 6, 07:29 PM

Pittsburgh RB Ray Graham ran a 4.59- and 4.63-second 40-yard dash during his Pro Day Wednesday, March 6, after he ran a 4.8-second 40 at the NFL Scouting Combine. He also posted a 32-inch vertical, a 1.67-second 10-yard dash, a 2.72-second 20-yard dash, an 11.65-second 60-yard dash, a 4.2-second short shuttle and a 7.05-second three-cone drill.

Footballguys view: Graham is one of our favorite mid-round RBs in this draft. Our very own Cecil Lammey was impressed with Graham during the week of practice for the Shrine Game earlier this year. Graham is not the biggest back, but is a willing inside runner who can be effective in short yardage situations. He's also a very good receiver out of the backfield.
