They've got a jam-packed backfield, and most of their options could be fantasy-relevant backs with the starting role. Mostert should be the lead back if healthy, and we'll see how the rest of the touches in the backfield shake out between Wilson and Gaskin (and any other RB they add this offseason). |

QB Teddy Bridgewater (knee) and RB Myles Gaskin (shoulder, ankle) were limited in practice Friday and are listed as questionable. LB Jerome Baker (hip), TE Tanner Conner (knee), CB Keion Crossen (shoulder), DT Raekwon Davis (knee), CB Kader Kohou (thumb), RB Raheem Mostert (knee) and QB Tua Tagovailoa (ankle) practiced in full Friday and have been removed from the injury report. LB Melvin Ingram (rest) and OL Rob Jones (back) were not given a practice designation Friday but are expected to play.
| Footballguys view: Armstead going out will be a test for the Dolphins offense. If Tua Tagovailoa has less time to throw downfield and faces a lot more pressure against the 49ers, Armstead's absence will be a big reason why. Miami Dolphins RBs Chase Edmonds, Myles Gaskin, Raheem Mostert, Salvon Ahmed and Sony Michel will be involved in a 'creative competition,' according to assistant head coach/running backs coach Eric Studesville. 'You create a competitive environment and you let those guys go sort it out because that's how it's going to happen,' Studesville said. 'They're going to sort it out as to who contributes and where and how and how much.'
| Footballguys view: Um...yeah, that's one way to put it. There is no question that the Dolphins are stacked to the brim with running back talent. New head coach Mike McDaniel loves to run the ball, and he should be able to do that early and often - no matter who is toting the rock. Edmonds and Mostert would seem to be the top two backs on the depth chart, but Michel is no slappy and could push for playing time too. We'll have to watch this rotation shake out in training camp. |

Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa completed 15-of-22 passes for 109 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions with 38 rushing yards. RB Duke Johnson posted a game-high 117 rushing yards with a touchdown on 25 totes, while RB Phillip Lindsay added 40 rushing yards on 11 attempts. TE Durham Smythe led the way with 32 yards on two catches, while WR Jaylen Waddle ended up with five receptions for 27 yards on seven targets. TE Mike Gesicki finished with two catches for 22 yards, WR DeVante Parker had two catches for 12 yards, while RB Myles Gaskin ran once for minus-1 yard and he added three receptions for 11 yards on his three targets.
