Carolina Panthers S Jairus Byrd was fined $24,309 by the National Football League for committing an unnecessary roughness penalty in Week 17's game against the Atlanta Falcons. Byrd was penalized for an illegal hit on WR Mohamed Sanu late in the third quarter.
