The Washington Redskins have declared WR David Anderson, DL Kentwan Balmer, FS LaRon Landry, LB Markus White, FB Mike Sellers, RB Ryan Torain, DL Stephen Bowen inactive for Week 15.
Footballguys view: Run blocking TE Richard Quinn is active over slot WR David Anderson, which signals a commitment to the run today. Roy Helu owners should be happy about this development, although it takes some of the shine off of Rex Grossman as a sleeper QB play. |

Redskins | Jabar Gaffney, Santana Moss getting most snaps among WRs Tue Dec 13, 09:47 PM
As expected, Washington Redskins WRs Jabar Gaffney and Santana Moss got the most snaps in Week 14 against the New England Patriots. Gaffney played 61 of the team's 74 offensive snaps, while Moss played 60. After that, there is a big dropoff, with WR Donte' Stallworth next with 37 snaps, and then WR Niles Paul with 18. WR Anthony Armstrong played 11, and WR David Anderson managed 10 snaps to round out the corps.
Footballguys view: Gaffney and Moss are both WR3/Flex level plays with WR2 upside for as long as Rex Grossman is throwing the ball well. |

Redskins | David Anderson might be used in the slot Wed Nov 16, 09:52 PM
Washington Redskins WR David Anderson might be used at the slot receiver, ahead of WR Terrence Austin, due to his experience. 'Knowledge of defenses and just a knack to find open spots,' Anderson said, of what makes a good slot receiver. 'As a receiver you either win vs. man or you sell cars. You have to win vs. man because that's what's gonna happen in the slot. And you have to have more spatial awareness inside.'

Redskins | David Anderson might make quick impact Thu Nov 10, 01:19 AM
Washington Redskins WR David Anderson might make a quick impact, perhaps as soon as Week 10 against the Miami Dolphins. 'There are about three words that are different from what I know from Houston and probably 4-5 new routes,' Anderson said Wednesday, Nov. 9. 'I should be fine.'
Footballguys view: Anderson knows the offense, having worked with OC Kyle Shanahan in Houston. He could help move the chains for the offense, but we're not expecting much fantasy production from him. |

Texans | Bring back David Anderson Tue Sep 13, 09:24 PM
The Houston Texans signed free-agent WR David Anderson (Broncos) Tuesday, Sept. 13. To make room, the team waived DL Tim Bulman.
Footballguys view: Anderson failed to make the Broncos roster after they signed him in free agency. He'll fit in nicely now that he's back in Houston. He provides them quality depth at the WR position and can help out as a return man too. |

Broncos | Make roster moves to get to 53 Sat Sep 3, 02:29 PM
The Denver Broncos have waived QB Adam Weber, RBs Austin Sylvester and Jeremiah Johnson, WR Britt Davis, D'Andre Goodwin, Greg Orton and Eron Riley, TE Dan Gronkowski, OL Stanley Daniels, Adam Grant and Eric Olsen, DL Jeremy Beal, Ronnell Brown, Jeremy Jarmon and DeMario Pressley, LB Alvin Bowen, CB Brandon Bing and S Kyle McCarthy. The team also released WR David Anderson. RB Brandon Minor (undisclosed), WR Jamel Hamler (back) and CB Syd'Quan Thompson (Achilles') were placed on Injured Reserve, ending their 2011 seasons.
Footballguys view: A few surprises here. Many thought David Anderson would make the final roster but he was outplayed in the preseason by Eron Riley. Jeremiah Johnson looked good in training camp but was inconsistent in the team's preseason games. Jarmon was involved in the Jabar Gaffney trade but didn't impress enough to make the roster. Some of these guys will be brought back on the practice squad if they clear waivers. |

Texans | Two players waived Sat Jul 30, 03:59 PM
The Houston Texans have waived WR David Anderson and DT Amobi Okoye.
Footballguys view: Both players were on the trade block but neither got much interest. Anderson could end up with the Redskins since he has a working relationship with Kyle Shanahan. Okoye may end up in Denver where he could help anchor the Broncos defensive line. |

Texans | Extend qualifying offers to 5 RFAs Wed Jul 8, 07:10 PM
Nick Schenck, from HoustonTexans.com, notes the Texans announced Thursday that they have extended qualifying offers to five of the team's restricted free agents: tight ends Owen Daniels and Joel Dreessen, wide receiver David Anderson, tackle Rashad Butler and defensive end Earl Cochran.
Footballguys view: Owen Daniels is the big name here. After a Pro Bowl season Daniels expressed an interest in staying with the team. "I really like our team, I like our coaches, I like the guys and I think we're going in the right direction." Daniels said. The Texans drafted versatile TE James Casey who played nearly every position on the field in college at Rice, but he may take some time to develop in the NFL. |
