Green Bay Packers WR Amari Rodgers was claimed off waivers by the Houston Texans on Wednesday, Nov. 16, per source.
| Footballguys view: Rodgers didn't do much in his time with the Packers, but it's not a surprise that some team would take a chance on him via waivers. A third-round pick out of Clemson in the 2021 NFL draft, Rodgers was mostly a special teams player in Green Bay. So far this season, Rodgers only has eight targets for four catches and 50 yards. We'll keep monitoring him in dynasty formats, and we'll have to see if the Texans expand his role on offense. |

CB Shemar Jean-Charles (ankle) was limited in practice for a second consecutive day on Friday, Nov. 11, and has also been ruled out. LB Krys Barnes (concussion) did not practice all week and is listed as doubtful. OT David Bakhtiari (knee) and WR Amari Rodgers (hamstring) were limited in practice Friday and are listed as questionable. DT Devonte Wyatt (personal) did not practice Friday but is expected to be available. PK Mason Crosby (back), CB Rasul Douglas (calf), OG Elgton Jenkins (knee), RB Aaron Jones (ankle), QB Aaron Rodgers (thumb), WR Allen Lazard (shoulder), OG Jon Runyan Jr. (knee) and WR Sammy Watkins (knee) were limited in practice Friday but have been removed from the injury report. LB Preston Smith (neck) and TE Marcedes Lewis (rest) practiced in full Friday and also no longer appear on the injury report.

| Footballguys view: Rodgers has been practicing all over the formation for the Packers this offseason. That versatility makes him an interesting chess piece for the Packers. He's buried on the depth chart, roughly no.4 or no.5 for the Packers behind Allen Lazard, Randall Cobb, Sammy Watkins, and Christian Watson. That means only dynasty GMs should be monitoring Rodgers at this time. |

| Footballguys view: Rodgers, a third-round pick out of Clemson in the 2021 NFL draft, is buried on the Packers depth chart but he's got ability with the ball in his hands. He played 103 snaps last year on offense, and Rodgers finished his rookie season with just four catches for 45 yards. He's a slot receiver, return man and gadget player who was underutilized last season. Rodgers has plenty of talent ahead of him on the depth chart, so a larger role may not be in the cards for him in 2023. However, in dynasty formats we'll still keep track of him. |

Rodgers also has great speed to attack the seam from the slot. We'd be a lot more excited about Rodgers in 2021 if we knew who his quarterback was going to be. Aaron Rodgers may force his way out of Green Bay and that would be a big negative for all Packers offensive players. |

| Footballguys view: Rodgers is a slot receiver who is built like a running back. He'll toy with defenders after the catch and is very agile with the rock in his hands. Rodgers needs to better run the full route tree, but there's certainly a lot to like about his game. He should be a mid-round pick in the 2021 NFL draft. |
