Carolina Panthers PK Eddy Pineiro (groin) should be ready for the start of the regular season and could kick short field goal tries during the preseason game Friday, Aug. 25, according to head coach Frank Reich.
| Footballguys view: It sounds like there is no reason to think Pineiro will miss Week 1 against the Falcons. Journeyman Matthew Wright is in Carolina's camp as an insurance policy in case Pineiro experiences problems when he tests his groin injury. |
