He didn't play much at Stanford due to injury and threw only 18 touchdowns in 14 game appearances (11 starts). Mills has size/athleticism as part of his game, and he throws with touch and anticipation - especially in the middle of the field. Poor footwork as a passer and a bad internal clock when judging the rush are his two biggest problems. With Brandin Cooks the only Texans skill position player you can trust, let's hope Mills keeps feeding the veteran receiver now that he's the starter. |

Pegged by some as the quarterback of the future for the Texans, the third-round pick out of Stanford has a lot to learn. With only 11 career starts in college, Mills is a mobile quarterback who throws a nice ball. However, injuries (left knee) are a major concern and he has to learn to make better decisions as a passer. We'll monitor him in dynasty formats, and the Texans will likely go with veteran Tyrod Taylor as their starter for most of the 2021 season. |
