Minnesota Vikings TE Rhett Ellison played 41 offensive snaps in the team's Week 5 game, while TE Chase Ford played 30 snaps. TE MarQueis Gray was on the field for nine offensive snaps.
| Footballguys view: Both tight ends are worth keeping an eye on as Teddy Bridgewater returns as he targeted them in his first start. Neither of them are worth a starting spot yet though, and at most should be a bench guy in deeper leagues. |

The Minnesota Vikings have claimed TE MarQueis Gray off waivers from the Cleveland Browns and OT Michael X. Harris from the San Diego Chargers.

Cleveland Browns TE MarQueis Gray (abdomen) shed his no-contact jersey for practice Friday, Aug. 15. He is expected to play in the preseason game Monday, Aug. 18, against the Washington Redskins.

Cleveland Browns TE MarQueis Gray is being tried at fullback in offseason workouts to increase his versatility. Gray was a quarterback in Minnesota and appeared in 12 games last season at the TE spot.
| Footballguys view: Gray is big and athletic, but he's not a tight end. He struggles to run routes and catch passes in stride. He could work as a fullback, but we're not sure what kind of role he'd have offensively outside of blocking and maybe getting a short-yardage carry. |
