Baltimore Ravens RB Gus Edwards carried the ball 12 times for 62 yards and two touchdowns against the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday, Nov. 16. He also caught two passes for eight yards.

Footballguys view: Edwards continues to be the first option in goal to go situations and he's making the Ravens and fantasy players who stick with him look smart. He'll be a solid RB2 next week against the Chargers with Keaton Mitchell still in a complementary role after a nondescript performance Thursday night.

Ravens | Two touchdowns for Gus Edwards    Sun Nov 5, 04:37 PM

Baltimore Ravens RB Gus Edwards rushed for 52 yards and two touchdowns on five carries against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 9.

Footballguys view: Edwards was about as productive as you could ask on an afternoon when he only got five carries. UDFA Keaton Mitchell broke out today to make this a three-headed backfield, but the Ravens seem to be enamored with calling Edwards number at the goal line, and he keeps scoring, so he's still at least a flex play against the Browns next week.

Baltimore Ravens RB Gus Edwards rushed 14 times for 64 yards and a touchdown in Week 7 against the Baltimore Ravens, while adding an 80-yard catch and run on his lone target.

Footballguys view: Edwards broke free twice against a Lions defense that hadn't given up a 50-yard rusher yet this season. The Ravens offense is potentially ascending to new levels, and Edwards can ride that wave to RB2/Flex value. It will be tough to leave him on the bench next week at Arizona.

Baltimore Ravens RB Gus Edwards rushed 15 times for a team-high 48 yards in Week 4 against the Cleveland Browns, while adding two grabs for just one yard in three targets.

Footballguys view: The Browns defense at least contained Edwards, who was the clear lead back with Justice Hill nursing a toe injury. Edwards isn't an essential hold heading into a matchup at Pittsburgh next week with Hill role likely to get back to committee back level.

  Ravens | Baltimore's Week 4 injury report    Fri Sep 29, 03:42 PM

Baltimore Ravens WR Rashod Bateman (hamstring), WR Odell Beckham Jr. (ankle), CB Marlon Humphrey (foot), LB David Ojabo (ankle, knee) and LB Odafe Oweh (ankle) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 4 versus the Cleveland Browns. OT Ronnie Stanley (knee) did not practice on Friday, Sept. 29, and is listed as doubtful. C Tyler Linderbaum (ankle) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable. S Kyle Hamilton (back), RB Justice Hill (foot) and S Marcus Williams (pectoral) practiced in full on Friday but are also listed as questionable. RB Gus Edwards (concussion) practiced in full all week and has been removed from the injury report.

Footballguys view: Edwards should get the start, but Cleveland's defense is stout and the Ravens running game may struggle to move the ball, especially with their best offensive lineman doubtful and their center questionable. The Ravens offense will be missing two of their best edge rushers and their best corner.

Ravens | Gus Edwards practices Wednesday    Wed Sep 27, 05:20 PM

Baltimore Ravens RB Gus Edwards (concussion) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 27.

Footballguys view: That's good news for the Ravens. They've got injuries at the position, and are down to guys like Melvin Gordon behind Edwards. A full participation on Wednesday is a good sign Edwards will be available in Week 4 against the Browns.

Ravens | Gus Edwards leaves early    Sun Sep 24, 03:34 PM

Baltimore Ravens RB Gus Edwards (head) left the Week 3 game early and is being evaluated for a concussion.

Footballguys view: Melvin Gordon III and Kenyan Drake got more work after Edwards left. He was running well against a tough Colts run defense. We'll be watching the practice reports to see if Edwards will be available for next week's showdown with Cleveland.

Ravens | Gus Edwards reaches end zone    Sun Sep 17, 05:53 PM

Baltimore Ravens RB Gus Edwards rushed for 62 yards and one touchdown on 10 carries against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2.

Footballguys view: Justice Hill got more touches, but Edwards looked like the better back and certainly the better short yardage back. Melvin Gordon didn't turn this into a three-headed backfield as feared, so Edwards is at least a what the heck flex against a Colts run defense that has been stout in two games this year.

Ravens | Gus Edwards sees eight carries    Sun Sep 10, 05:47 PM

Baltimore Ravens RB Gus Edwards registered eight carries for 32 yards in Week 1 against the Houston Texans, and he was not targeted in the pass game.

Footballguys view: Edwards ran better than Justice Hill, but Hill got the touchdowns. Edwards is better suited for short yardage running than Hill, so this could be fluid and make Edwards the better fantasy pickup in the long run with JK Dobbins out for the year. Both Edwards and Hill should be picked up, and if Edwards is significantly cheaper because he didn't score, he is probably the better pickup.

Ravens | Gus Edwards eyeing return for camp    Tue Jun 6, 02:21 PM

Baltimore Ravens RB Gus Edwards (undisclosed) is currently rehabbing an injury but should be ready for the start of training camp, according to head coach John Harbaugh on Tuesday, June 6.

Footballguys view: Edwards is a veteran back, so the team won't rush him through this undisclosed injury. Earlier this year, Edwards agreed to take a $1 million pay cut from the $4.384 million he was set to earn in 2023. He'll be the no.2 back behind J.K. Dobbins and continue to get short-yardage and goal-line work.

Baltimore Ravens RB Gus Edwards posted 11 rushes for 99 yards in Week 16 against the Atlanta Falcons, and he was not targeted in the pass game.

Footballguys view: Edwards ran better than J.K. Dobbins in this one, complicating the fantasy projection of this backfield heading into a matchup with the Steelers. Edwards is a mere what-the-heck flex, but if Lamar Jackson can return, that will help the outlook of the entire offense.
