The New Orleans Saints have declared SS Corey White, RB Darren Sproles, WR Greg Camarillo, DL Junior Galette, LB Scott Shanle, DL Tyrunn Walker, OT Zach Strief inactive for Week 11.

Footballguys view: Sproles is officially inactive after Jay Glazer reported that he would likely be out right before the start of the early games. Pierre Thomas, Mark Ingram, and Chris Ivory get a little bump, and Lance Moore looks like a better WR3/Flex play with Sproles out.

Minnesota Vikings WR Greg Camarillo could be given the punt return job next season since he did hold the job for most of this season, reports Judd Zulgad, of the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Vikings | Greg Camarillo still learning offense    Wed Sep 15, 11:33 AM

Minnesota Vikings WR Greg Camarillo said he is working on learning the offense but is still having trouble with remembering the terminology the team uses, according to 1500ESPN.com's Tom Pelissero. 'The hardest part is when they have the same word that means something different,' Camarillo said. 'You'll have a formation word here that puts somebody to the weak side, whereas in Miami, it puts somebody to the strong side.'

Footballguys view: We expect Camarillo to get up to speed quickly with his new team. He has great hands, and should become one of Brett Favre's most trusted receivers in 2010.

Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress said WR Greg Camarillo will get more involved in the offense as the season goes on, reports The Associated Press. The team could also use Camarillo as a punt returner.

Vikings | Greg Camarillo trying to earn trust    Sun Aug 29, 02:41 AM

Minnesota Vikings new WR Greg Camarillo caught four passes for 47 yards Saturday, Aug. 28, against the Seattle Seahawks, reports The Associated Press. Carmarillo said it was good to catch some passes and get a couple of first downs, as it will help his new teammates to believe in him.

Footballguys view: Camarillo is well on his way to becoming Brett Favre's security blanket on short and intermediate stuff. He is worth a late-round pick in PPR leagues, but Favre should spread the ball around.

Vikings | Greg Camarillo adds depth    Fri Aug 27, 03:47 AM

The Minnesota Vikings hope newly added WR Greg Camarillo can add depth to the team's depleted wide receivers, reports The Associated Press. Head coach Brad Childress said Camarillo has 'A-plus' hands. Camarillo may see some playing time Saturday, Aug. 28, against the Seattle Seahawks.

Footballguys view: Camarillo could become a favorite of Brett Favre because of his sure hands and ability to get open on underneath routes. The veteran also has a fearless nature when going over the middle and can be relied on when the team needs to move the chains.

Vikings | Percy Harvin could move outside more    Thu Aug 26, 01:39 PM

Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin (migraines) should play more on the outside after the acquisition of slot WR Greg Camarillo, reports the Minneapolis Star Tribune's Chip Scoggins and Judd Zulgad.

Footballguys view: Harvin has dangerous run after the catch ability, so we don't expect the Vikings to totally move away from using him on underneath routes. We could see more wide receiver screens and quick outs for Harvin as the team attempts to get the ball to him where he can make a play in space.

Vikings | Trading for Miami's Greg Camarillo    Wed Aug 25, 12:57 PM

The Minnesota Vikings will acquire WR Greg Camarillo from the Miami Dolphins, reports Jeff Darlington, of The Miami Herald. Camarillo said he has mixed emotions, as joining the Vikings will be a great opportunity but Miami has become home to him.

Footballguys view: The Vikings need help at the wide receiver position, and that's why we've seen them add Javon Walker and Camarillo this week. Minnesota could use Camarillo on short and underneath routes, and with his consistent hands he should quickly become a trusted target for Brett Favre.

Dolphins | Greg Camarillo being traded to Minnesota    Wed Aug 25, 12:56 PM

Miami Dolphins WR Greg Camarillo, per multiple sources, is being traded to the Minnesota Vikings, reports Jeff Darlington, of The Miami Herald. Camarillo texted Darlington and said he will be headed out of town during the afternoon Wednesday, Aug. 25.

Footballguys view: Camarillo's hands and consistency will be missed in Miami. The Dolphins added Brandon Marshall this offseason, and that move bumped Camarillo down the depth chart. He was competing with Davone Bess and Brian Hartline to be the starter opposite Marshall, but now should step in as the Vikings third receiver behind Bernard Berrian and Percy Harvin.

Dolphins | Brian Hartline competing for starting role    Sun Jul 25, 12:03 PM

Miami Dolphins WR Brian Hartline will be given an opportunity to win a starting job during training camp, reports Armando Salguero, of The Miami Herald. With Brandon Marshall occupying one starting position, Hartline will battle with WRs Davone Bess and Greg Camarillo for the other. Salguero believes Hartline has the best intangibles when it comes to a combination of size and speed to win the job. Hartline spent time bulking up during the offseason because he wanted to add another dimension to his game instead of being a 'little, quick guy.'

Footballguys view: It's hard to like Hartline except as a very late-round pick even if he does win the starting job, simply because Bess and Camarillo will still roles and get targets on passing downs, and Marshall will get a massive amount of targets, even for a #1 WR.

Dolphins | Brian Hartline could be given chance to shine    Wed Jul 21, 09:48 PM

The Miami Dolphins need to find a complement to WR Brandon Marshall in the starting lineup, reports Omar Kelly, of The Sun-Sentinel. Offensive coordinator Dan Henning loves a smart receiver, and he said WR Brian Hartline was the team's smartest receiver a year ago. Hartline led the Dolphins' receivers in yards per reception (16.3) and the team may want the player opposite Marshall to stretch the field. Hartline is considered the team's fastest option at receiver. He could unseat WR Greg Camarillo for a starting job and hold off Davone Bess.

Footballguys view: Kelly has been on Hartline's bandwagon for most of the offseason. He has surprising playmaking ability, but Hartline will have to share with Bess and Camarillo even if he starts. We all know what kind of targets Brandon Marshall will get, so it's hard to imagine Hartline making much of a splash beyond occasional big play outbursts.

Dolphins | Camarillo getting first team reps    Wed Jun 9, 11:16 AM

Omar Kelly, from the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, reports via Twitter that Brandon Marshall and Greg Camarillo are paired as the Dolphins starting receivers with Brian Hartline and Davone Bess as the backups.

Footballguys view: Camarillo is competing with Hartline and Bess for the starting job opposite Brandon Marshall. Both Hartline and Bess have gotten first-team reps earlier in minicamp, and now he gets a chance to show what he can do. We believe that Brian Hartline will eventually win the starting job, and that will leave Camarillo to compete with Bess for the slot receiver. We'll find out who wins the starting job sometime in training camp.

Dolphins | Will move WRs around in the offense    Sun May 30, 09:24 PM

Omar Kelly, from the South Florida Sun Sentinel, reports via Twitter that Offensive Coordinator Dan Henning said his WRs will be moved around, preventing teams from narrowing in on where Brandon Marshall will line up each play.

Footballguys view: The Dolphins don't have a lot of talent at the wide receiver position outside of Brandon Marshall. Brian Hartline is expected to win the starting job opposite Marshall, but will have to beat out veterans Davone Bess and Greg Camarillo in training camp.

Updating a previous report, Miami Dolphins WRs Davone Bess, Greg Camarillo and Brian Hartline will compete for the starting wide receiver spot opposite WR Brandon Marshall, reports Armando Salguero, of The Miami Herald.

Footballguys view: Brian Hartline impressed as a rookie, and may have the best skill set to start opposite Marshall. Hartline is a fluid receiver who excels because of his grit and determination. Bess and Camarillo might be better used as slot receivers. The winner of this battle will be revealed in training camp.

Dolphins | Two likely to compete for starting WR job    Sat May 22, 05:53 PM

Miami Dolphins WR Greg Camarillo and WR Brian Hartline are expected to compete for the starting wide receiver position opposite WR Brandon Marshall, reports Omar Kelly, of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

Footballguys view: With Brandon Marshall recovering from hip surgery it has opened up the door for both Camarillo and Hartline to get more reps in practice. Camarillo is the savvy veteran, but we expect Hartline to win the job opposite Brandon Marshall because of his size and strong hands.
