Chicago Bears QB Andy Dalton went 33-for-48 for 325 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 18. RB David Montgomery rushed for 72 yards on 20 carries and caught two passes for seven yards. WR Darnell Mooney caught 12 passes for 126 yards on 16 targets. TE Cole Kmet caught four passes for 48 yards on five targets. WR Damiere Byrd caught five passes for 47 yards on six targets, while WR Allen Robinson caught two passes for 22 yards on four targets.
| Footballguys view: The biggest story for the Bears is whether Matt Nagy will be fired, and we assume he will be. Dalton showed he still belongs as a backup this year, but will be looking for work in free agency. Montgomery will likely be the workhorse, but Khalil Herbert could endear himself to a new regime. Mooney went over 1000 yards, which is incredible in this pass offense in only his second year. Kmet's numbers are better than they look for the same reason. Robinson will hopefully get out of quarterback hell in free agency after a lost season. |

| Footballguys view: Byrd is coming off a career high in 2020 with the Patriots. Last year, Byrd had 47 catches for 604 yards and one touchdown. That's not outstanding but it's the best of his career and now he is looking to give the Bears veteran depth. The team is thin at the wide receiver position behind Allen Robinson, Darnell Mooney and Anthony Miller, so we'll see how much of a role Byrd can have with his new team in 2021. |

The team also added WR Damiere Byrd during the offseason and return 2019 undrafted free agents Jakobi Meyers and Gunner Olszewski in addition to practice-squad receivers Devin Ross and Quincy Adeboyejo. CB Tramaine Brock (shoulder) and LB Jordan Hicks (non-injury) were both upgraded to full practice Friday and have been removed the injury report.
