Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison (concussion, chest) on Saturday, Oct. 19, was upgraded to questionable, signaling he has better chance of playing in Week 7 on Sunday, Oct. 20.

Footballguys view: The Packers are going to be without Davante Adams again in Week 7. They also might be without Marquez Valdes-Scantling on Sunday which would give Allison, Jake Kumerow and Allen Lazard more work.

Packers | Geronimo Allison scores Thursday night    Fri Sep 27, 01:51 AM

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison had three receptions for 52 yards and a touchdown against the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday, Sept. 26.

Footballguys view: Most of Allison's production came on two receptions when Aaron Rodgers was heating up in the first half. He's still just bye/injury depth but could have his value enhanced if Davante Adams misses time.

Packers | Geronimo Allison not targeted    Thu Sep 5, 11:57 PM

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison was not targeted in a 10-3 win over the Chicago Bears Thursday, Sept. 5.

Footballguys view: Allison had a good matchup against Bears slot corner Buster Skrine, but wasn't used in the passing game. The team is using more two tight end matchups, so Allison could be droppable in short bench leagues.

Packers | Geronimo Allison eyeing slot duties    Tue Jul 23, 05:00 PM

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison told ESPN's Rob Demovsky that his main focus will be playing in the slot in 2019.

Footballguys view: Allison is one of our favorite young WRs on the Packers roster. We'll see if he can win the slot job and get his fair share of targets behind Davante Adams. Fantasy GMs need to be dialed into the competition in Green Bay for the pecking order in the receiving corps.

Packers | Geronimo Allison poised to break out?    Tue Jul 2, 04:52 PM

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison has a chance to be 'dangerous' in head coach Matt LaFleur's offense, according to WR Davante Adams.'He's the guy who's been working a lot in the slot, and he's used to playing a little more outside, but this is making him a little more dynamic. I think Matt has really tested him or challenged him to widen it out so he can play multiple spots. . . . Him being able to move around right now and be healthy, be himself and just play, being able to have all those things, it's going to be dangerous,' Adams told the team's website.

Footballguys view: Allison is the first player to watch in the Packers WR corps for those guys not named Davante Adams. We'll be monitoring the offense closely in the preseason to see who the No. 2 target is going to be. Allison or second-year pro Marquez Valdes-Scantling seem to be the most poised for a breakout from the group of receivers behind Adams. Right now, Allison is going off the board at WR38 (8.12) in 12-team PPR leagues.

Packers | Green Bay to carry seven WRs?    Thu Jun 20, 02:53 AM

Green Bay Packers WRs Davante Adams, Geronimo Allison, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Equanimeous St. Brown, Jake Kumerow, J'Mon Moore and Trevor Davis could all make the 53-man roster, in the opinion of Packers Wire's Zach Kruse, with Adams, Allison, Valdes-Scantling and St. Brown viewed as locks.

Footballguys view: Seven is a big number for the wide receiver position. Most teams keep around five or six wide receivers depending on the makeup of the rest of the roster. We've heard good things this offseason about Valdes-Scantling and Kumerow, so Fantasy GMs should watch their progress closely in training camp and the preseason. Behind Adams and Allison, those two seem the most likely to make the 53-man roster.

Packers | Geronimo Allison to man the slot?    Thu Jun 13, 09:55 PM

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison is 'likely slated as the slot man' in three-receiver sets, according to Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com.

Footballguys view: Allison was reasonably productive before getting hurt last year, but the role change isn't necessarily a positive as Davante Adams will get a solid share of his snaps in the slot and Allison will have to hold off Jake Kumerow and Equanimeous St. Brown for outside snaps when Adams moves inside. He's probably overdrafted right now.

Packers | Geronimo Allison good to go    Thu Mar 28, 03:25 PM

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison (concussion, hamstring, adductor) said he is mentally and physically strong and feels good after missing 11 games last season. 'I think I'm making a good comeback and I feel confident in myself.'

Footballguys view: Allison played in only five games in 2018 but flashed potential when out there. The Packers have moved on from Randall Cobb (Cowboys), opening up an opportunity for Allison to take over as the no.2 wide receiver for the Packers opposite Davante Adams.

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison signed a restricted free-agent contract Friday, March 15. The one-year deal includes undisclosed guarantees and incentives.

Packers | Geromino Allison's season over    Wed Nov 21, 01:42 PM

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison's (groin) season is over after the Packers used their second Reserve/Injured designation to return on WR Jake Kumerow (shoulder) Wednesday, Nov. 21.

Footballguys view: The Packers just placed Allison on Injured Reserve earlier this month. The talented third-year pro seemed to be building on the mini-breakout he had in 2017. Allison made it through only five games, posting 20 catches for 303 yards and two touchdowns. The Packers move forward with Davante Adams as their lead receiver with guys like Randall Cobb, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Equanimeous St. Brown, Jake Kumerow and J'Mon Moore competing for targets behind him.

Packers | Geronimo Allison goes to IR    Tue Nov 6, 04:20 PM

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison (core) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Tuesday, Nov. 6.

Footballguys view: In five games this year, Allison flashed some potential with 20 catches for 303 yards and two touchdowns. He'll now undergo core surgery and wait to see what his future holds with the team as he's an ERFA in 2019. The Packers move forward with rookie Marquez Valdes-Scantling getting the largest boost with Allison on IR.

Packers | Week 9 injury report for Green Bay    Fri Nov 2, 06:24 PM

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison (hamstring, groin) did not practice Friday, Nov. 2 and he is listed as doubtful for Week 9 against the New England Patriots. C Corey Linsley (knee), LB Nick Perry (ankle) and S Jermaine Whitehead (back) were listed as limited partipants, with Linsley removed from the report and Perry and Whitehead considered questionable. CB Jaire Alexander (groin), OT Bryan Bulaga (knee), TE Jimmy Graham (knee), QB Aaron Rodgers (knee) and WR Equanimeous St. Brown (knee) practiced in full and they have all been removed from the injury report.

Footballguys view: Allison being doubtful is your cue to play Marquez Valdes-Scantling and maybe Randall Cobb with more snaps to go around at wide receiver.

Packers | Geronimo Allison update    Fri Nov 2, 10:48 AM

Updating a previous report, Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison (groin) suffered a groin injury in practice Thursday, Nov. 1. Head coach Mike McCarthy said: 'We'll see where he is (Saturday.)'

Footballguys view: Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Equanimous St. Brown could see more work with Allison likely sidelined or limited. This one could be a shootout and Valdes-Scantling has been on the same page as Aaron Rodgers for some big plays, so consider plugging him in as a WR3/Flex this week.

Packers | Green Bay's Week 8 injury report    Fri Oct 26, 02:06 PM

Green Bay Packers OT Jason Spriggs (ankle) and WR Equanimeous St. Brown (knee) were limited in practice Friday, Oct. 26, and are listed as questionable for Week 8 versus the Los Angeles Rams. WR Randall Cobb (hamstring) was a full participant in practice Friday but is also listed as questionable. WR Geronimo Allison (hamstring) and CB Bashaud Breeland (hamstring) practiced in limited fashion again Friday but no longer appear on the injury report. CB Jaire Alexander (groin), OT Bryan Bulaga (knee), TE Jimmy Graham, LB Nick Perry (ankle) and QB Aaron Rodgers (knee) participated fully in practice Friday and have also been removed from the injury report.

Footballguys view: Allison should be back and starting, but we might have to wait until game time to know about Cobb for sure. Cobb hasn't been a fast healer in recent years, so he's probably not ready to be put back into lineups even if he is active, and don't drop Marquez Valdes-Scantling just yet.
