Vikings | Roehl to take part in minicamp    Thu Apr 8, 02:57 PM

Jeff Kolpack, of the Grand Folk Herald, reports unrestricted free-agent RB Tyler Roehl (Seahawks) has accepted an invitation to participate in the Minnesota Vikings' upcoming minicamp.

Footballguys view: Roehl is a powerful back that has speed to the edge and can break a big play as a runner or a receiver. If he can stay healthy the Vikings could be on to something here. Here's more explosive than Albert Young and may be just what the Vikings are looking for behind Adrian Peterson.

Danny O'Neil, of The Seattle Times, reports Seattle Seahawks RB Tyler Roehl (knee) suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament during practice Monday, June 1, according to a report.

Footballguys view: Roehl was a long shot to make the final roster, but an intriguing prospect nonetheless. This is unfortunate news for the power back from North Dakota State. He will remain in Seattle for surgery and rehabilitation and will miss his rookie season.
