Saints | McKenzie signs Mon Nov 23, 02:57 PM
ESPN.com reports the New Orleans Saints signed free-agent CB Mike McKenzie (Saints) Monday, Nov. 23. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Footballguys view: The Saints are a little short handed in their defensive backfield because of injuries to Tracy Porter, Jabari Greer, Randall Gay and Leigh Torrence. The team is getting healthy at the right time, and should have at least Greer back in the fold this week. |

Dolphins | Remain interested in adding a cornerback? Wed Jul 8, 12:12 PM
Barry Jackson, of the Miami Herald, reports the Miami Dolphins have kept tabs and spoken casually with agents about a few unsigned cornerbacks, primarily free-agent CBs Mike McKenzie (Saints) and Travis Fisher (Lions), in case there are injuries in training camp or if CBs Eric Green, Sean Smith and Vontae Davis struggle.
Footballguys view: Eric Green struggled mightily in OTAs, and starting a rookie at cornerback is never a good idea, especially when you face Tom Brady twice a year. The Dolphins would be wise to take a look at McKenzie, Fisher or former Raven Chris McAlister. |
