Steelers | Pittsburgh adds Frisman Jackson    Tue Feb 8, 04:23 PM

Carolina Panthers wide receivers coach/passing game coordinator Frisman Jackson was hired by the Pittsburgh Steelers Tuesday, Feb. 8, as their new wide receivers coach.

Footballguys view: Jackson played wide receiver in the league a few years, mostly with the Browns after coming into the league as an undrafted free agent out of Western Illinois. He's got a ton of experience coaching wide receivers, both in college and the pros. In the NFL, Jackson has worked with the Titans and the Panthers in that capacity. With the Panthers, Jackson mentored players like Robby Anderson, D.J. Moore and Curtis Samuel.

Titans | Frisman Jackson leaves team    Sun Jan 21, 12:57 PM

Tennessee Titans wide receivers coach Frisman Jackson is leaving the team to become the wide receivers coach at Baylor.

Footballguys view: This will be an important hire for Jon Robinson with 2017 #5 overall pick Corey Davis still needing development. If Todd Haley isn't hired as an offensive coordinator, he has some experience as a wide receiver coach.

Bills | Gailey hasn't decided on RBs roles    Sat Jun 19, 07:28 PM

CBSSports.com notes that having RB Marshawn Lynch finally attending practice is a start for Chan Gailey. The Bills coach will worry later about where Lynch will fit in what's become a crowded backfield. "At this point it doesn't matter. It only matters when we get to September," Gailey said Wednesday, referring to how he foresees splitting the workload between Lynch, returning veteran Fred Jackson and rookie first-round draft pick C.J. Spiller. "Let's get everybody on the same page and get all of the basics down," Gailey added. "Then we'll worry about all that other stuff." Lynch returned to practice Tuesday after he had skipped the previous 12 voluntary sessions. The 2007 first-round draft pick is unhappy playing in Buffalo and hoping for the possibility to be traded to get a fresh start elsewhere. With the Bills insisting they have no intention of trading the player, Lynch now has plenty of catching up to do in learning a revamped offense Gailey has been unveiling this spring. "Both on the field and off the field he has some catching up to do, but it seems like he's a quick study," Gailey said.

Footballguys view: The situation in Buffalo is a puzzling one for fantasy owners. We think Fred Jackson should be the lead back in this committee, with rookie C.J. Spiller providing the team with a dynamic change of pace back. Marshawn Lynch could get a few carries here and there, but he may have to sit on the bench unless Jackson or Spiller are hurt.
