Jets | Quincy Enunwa released    Mon Aug 3, 04:34 PM

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa was released Monday, Aug. 3.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa hurt in practice Tuesday    Tue Aug 6, 05:05 PM

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (groin) injured his groin in practice Tuesday, Aug. 6. While the team does not appear to be overly concerned about the injury, Enunwa's status for the preseason opener Thursday, Aug. 8, against the New York Giants is uncertain, according to Dennis Waszak Jr. of The Associated Press.

Footballguys view: The team will be careful with the veteran as he deals with this groin injury. New head coach Adam Gase says that he doesn't want to put Enunwa in the box, so we should see him get more downfield routes than he did in 2018. We could see him catching 45-50 passes this year for the Jets.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa dealing with injury    Tue Aug 6, 12:08 PM

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (groin) left practice early Tuesday, Aug. 6, with a groin injury. Head coach Adam Gase said Enunwa will have tests, but he didn't sound overly concerned about the situation, noting that Enunwa was seeking to return to practice.

Footballguys view: Enunwa got off to a hot start last year but never regained form after he got hurt. He's competing Robby Anderson and Jamison Crowder for targets and fantasy relevance, so staying on the field is important for his value.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa to be used differently    Tue Jul 16, 08:47 AM

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa will be used more on the outside this year, whereas he was used on screen routes more last season. Head coach Adam Gase said that Enunwa needs to go down more instead of fighting for the extra inch in order to stay healthy.

Footballguys view: There have been some positive reports about Jets WRs (Robby Anderson, Jamison Crowder) over the last couple of weeks. We're excited to see the next step that second-year QB Sam Darnold takes, but don't go overboard loading up with Jets WRs in your redraft leagues. Anderson is typically the only Jets WR getting drafted with a current ADP of WR31 (7.01) in 12-team PPR leagues.

Jets | Coach wants Quincy Enunwa to stay on field    Thu Jun 27, 06:59 PM

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa will be given the chance to earn a bigger role in the passing game during training camp, but head coach Adam Gase said he does not want Enunwa to take unnecessary hits and wants him to stay healthy. 'He is a physical player. He's a big man. When he gets to the secondary, he's a tough guy to bring down. We were on opposite teams last year and he carried about 12 guys on his back for about 10 yards. At some point, you'd like him to go down. When you know it's getting too many, just going down and saving yourself for the next play because we're going to need him,' Gase said.

Footballguys view: Enunwa looked like a budding PPR force early last year, but wasn't the same after he was injured and didn't finish the season. Robby Anderson has usurped his momentum, and it's not quite clear that Enunwa is worth more than free agent signing Jamison Crowder. We'll be watching during camp and the preseason to see who Sam Darnold and Adam Gase are setting up for success.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa lands contract extension    Fri Dec 28, 01:06 PM

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa signed an undisclosed multi-year contract extension Friday, Dec. 28.

Footballguys view: Enunwa was a big part of the offense before getting hurt and the Jets obviously believe in him as a long term piece. Sam Darnold's play has been improving, so Enunwa's dynasty stock is enhanced by this development. The Jets are giving him around 20 million guaranteed, so they believe in his ability to be a long term starter.

Footballguys view: Enunwa missed all of the 2017 season and has made it through only 11 games so far this season. He's got 38 catches for 449 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown. We don't think he plays in Week 17.

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson (ankle), RB Isaiah Crowell (toe), TE Jordan Leggett (knee) and CB Buster Skrine (shoulder) were listed as limited participants for practice Friday, Dec. 7 and each is considered questionable for Week 14 against the Buffalo Bills. OT Kelvin Beachum (knee), RB Trenton Cannon (hamstring), CB Morris Claiborne (shoulder, neck), QB Sam Darnold (foot), WR Quincy Enunwa (ankle), LB Jordan Jenkins (shoulder), LB Darron Lee (not injury related), C Spencer Long (knee, finger, illness), QB Josh McCown (back), LB Kevin Pierre-Louis (thumb), WR Andre Roberts (foot) and TE Eric Tomlinson (elbow) practiced in full and each are off the injury report ahead of Sunday's game.
