Buffalo Bills WR Stefon Diggs rolled up eight receptions for 153 yards and a touchdown on 13 targets in Week 2 against the Miami Dolphins.

Footballguys view: Diggs was unstoppable against a vaunted Miami cornerback group as Josh Allen continued to show that he's going to be on another level as a passer this year. He'll be a boom/bust WR3/Flex going against Jalen Ramsey next week.

Buffalo Bills WR Stefon Diggs caught eight passes for 86 yards against the New York Jets in Week 1. He was targeted nine times during the game.

Footballguys view: Diggs was a solid PPR play this week because of the high passing volume for Josh Allen, which might not be a norm for the Bills. Next week he'll face the tough Dolphins outside corners, making him a WR3/Flex at best.

Bills | Stefon Diggs able to return for practice    Tue Sep 1, 02:16 AM

Buffalo Bills WR Stefon Diggs (back) returned to practice Monday, Aug. 31.

Footballguys view: Diggs is set to be the no.1 receiver the Bills have been searching for. He's worked diligently to create chemistry with QB Josh Allen and Diggs should be the young quarterbacks favorite target. Diggs has a current ADP of WR27 (6.05) in 12-team PPR leagues.

Bills | No practice for Stefon Diggs    Sun Aug 30, 03:53 PM

Buffalo Bills WR Stefon Diggs (back) did not participate in practice Sunday, Aug. 30.

Footballguys view: This is probably a minor issue, but if Diggs misses any time, the values of John Brown and Cole Beasley change significantly, so if this comes up again during the season, we'll remember that it was a pre-existing problem.

Bills | Stefon Diggs held out of practice    Thu Aug 27, 12:46 PM

Buffalo Bills WR Stefon Diggs (back) is not practicing Thursday, Aug. 27, as he's dealing with lower-back soreness that the team is monitoring.

Footballguys view: Diggs is working with his new teammates to be the no.1 receiver this team has needed for some time. This back injury could linger if not given enough time to heal. The Bills are being careful with their star receiver as Diggs should be the favorite target for QB Josh Allen in 2020.

Bills | Stefon Diggs tweaks contract    Wed Aug 5, 04:01 PM

Buffalo Bills WR Stefon Diggs restructured his contract Tuesday, Aug. 4, according to a source. He'll receive an extra $3.3 million in 2020, an extra $7.7 million in guaranteed money but a decrease of $300,000 cash in 2021 and a drop from $25.55 million to $22.67 million in 2022-23 cash.

Footballguys view: Diggs is going to be the primary Bills receiver in 2020. He's been working this offseason to establish chemistry with QB Josh Allen. If Allen can play better and throw with better accuracy, then Diggs could pay off for Fantasy GMs as a WR2 with upside. It's going to be a wild ride if you want to start Diggs on a weekly basis.

Bills | Stefon Diggs excels on contested catches    Sun Jun 28, 06:53 PM

Buffalo Bills WR Stefon Diggs has hauled in a league-high 60 percent of his contested catch opportunities since 2016, according to Pro Football Focus.

Footballguys view: Diggs did that with the Vikings last year but should continue such success with his new team this season. QB Josh Allen has a lot of work to do as a passer as he struggles with pass placement. Having a receiver like Diggs should help him look better as the veteran receiver can go get passes that might be a little bit off target.

Bills | Stefon Diggs a big hit on long throws in 2019    Thu Jun 25, 09:23 PM

Buffalo Bills WR Stefon Diggs scored a league-high three touchdowns on passes targeted at least 40 yards downfield as a member of the Minnesota Vikings in 2019, according to Pro Football Focus.

Footballguys view: Diggs was traded to the Bills this offseason with the idea that he could be the deep target for the offense as the no.1 receiver. QB Josh Allen is a work in progress as a passer...all over the field. He has a big arm but he has say-it-don't-spray-it accuracy, and his deep passes -- while far -- lack touch and accuracy. We'll see how much Diggs helps out his young quarterback in 2020.

Bills | Stefon Diggs making impression    Sat Jun 13, 12:31 PM

Buffalo Bills WR Stefon Diggs made an instant impression on QB Josh Allen when the two were able to work together recently in Florida. 'It was very, very awesome to see just the amount of detail that he puts into his craft, how communicative he was, how willing he was to learn,' Allen said of Diggs. 'And he wasn't there for himself. He was there for the betterment of the team and wanted to hang out with the guys and wanted to learn and get to know the guys and I thought that was pretty special. You hear all these crazy stories in the media, and I think he's had a bad rep where he was at.'

Footballguys view: Diggs is the best wide receiver that Josh Allen has ever thrown to...college or pro. He should be able to integrate quickly as the top target for the Bills. Diggs can go get catches others can't and that should help Allen's completion percentage all over the field. If Allen can improve his pass placement, that's only going to be a bonus for a player like Diggs who has wheels and moves after the catch.

Bills | Stefon Diggs tops in downfield yardage in 2019    Wed Jun 3, 09:13 PM

Buffalo Bills WR Stefon Diggs led the league with 635 yards on plays in which he caught the ball at least 20 yards downfield, according to Pro Football Focus.

Footballguys view: That's one of the main reasons why the Bills traded so much to secure the services of Diggs. Now, QB Josh Allen needs to get better at throwing accurate passes down the field. He's got a big arm, perhaps the strongest in the NFL, but he needs better control and pass placement at all levels of the field.

Bills | Stefon Diggs only working with Josh Allen    Sun May 31, 12:37 PM

Buffalo Bills WR Stefon Diggs has only worked with QB Josh Allen during drills at the recent workouts in Florida.

Footballguys view: Allen and Diggs should be the top duo for the Bills and their passing attack this year. The Bills needed an upgrade at the position and they get that when they traded for Diggs. Allen needs to be more accurate and have better pass placement but having a receiver like Diggs (who can go up and get it no matter where the throw is placed) should greatly help. Allen's rushing ability makes him a potential top-10 fantasy quarterback. If Allen plays better, then Diggs could easily outperform his current ADP of WR21 (5.03) in 12-team PPR leagues.

Bills | Josh Allen works out with pass catchers    Fri May 29, 05:13 PM

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen worked out with several of the team's pass catchers in Florida Thursday, May 28, including WR Stefon Diggs. RB Devin Singletary, WRs John Brown, Isaiah McKenzie, Nick Easley, WR Gabriel Davis and Isaiah Hodgins and TEs Dawson Knox, Tommy Sweeney, Jason Croom and Nate Becker were among the players participating in the workout.

Footballguys view: The Bills have a new-look passing attack in 2020 with the addition of WR Stefon Diggs. He should be the no.1 receiver for Josh Allen this year, opening things up for other guys in the passing attack like WR John Brown and TE Dawson Knox. If Allen takes further steps as a passer, this team could be in line to win the AFC East.

Bills | Stefon Diggs emerging as a deep threat last season    Sun May 17, 07:52 PM

Buffalo Bills WR Stefon Diggs' average depth of target in 2019 with the Minnesota Vikings was 14.8 yards - a six-yard increase from the 2018 campaign. Over his first four NFL seasons, it was no higher than 11.3.

Footballguys view: Diggs was great as a deep threat and should continue to be that for the Bills. We'll see if QB Josh Allen does a better job of connecting on deep throws. He's got a big arm but his accuracy is a bit erratic when throwing downfield. Diggs will make him look better, but Allen also needs to set up his receivers better with more accurate throws.

Bills | Stefon Diggs lacking Buffalo reps    Fri May 1, 01:44 PM

Buffalo Bills WR Stefon Diggs hasn't had a chance to build on-field chemistry with QB Josh Allen during the ongoing coronavirus shutdown, but head coach Sean McDermott says he's not overly worried. 'I am concerned about it, but I guess not worried at this point,' McDermott said Friday, May, 1, while also noting every team faces its share of challenges. 'What you do is try to adjust and adapt, and like we said before, our theme this offseason has been: `Find a way.''

Footballguys view: Diggs is a seasoned veteran who should be able to gel with his new quarterback quickly. He wants the ball and Diggs will demand the ball once the regular season gets here. That emphasis on getting Diggs involved early and often will build that chemistry quickly.

Vikings | Stefon Diggs' deal too good to pass up    Tue Apr 21, 03:21 PM

Buffalo Bills WR Stefon Diggs wasn't shopped around in trade talks, according to Minnesota Vikings general manager Rick Spielman Tuesday, April 21, but he said the offer from the Bills was too good to turn down. 'We had no intention of trading Diggs at the combine. Great player for us,' said Spielman. Spielman said the deal was good for both the player and the team. The Vikings received a 2020 first-round pick, a 2020 fifth-round pick, a 2020 sixth-round pick and a 2021 fourth-round pick in exchange for Diggs and a seventh-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Footballguys view: The Vikings are going to be able to add a rookie wide receiver -- and a damn good one -- in the first round of the 2020 NFL draft. This is the greatest WR draft class of all time and someone like Justin Jefferson (LSU) could fall to the Vikings. Whatever receiver they draft in the first round will take the spot of Diggs on the depth chart.

Bills | Stefon Diggs turning into a big-play machine    Thu Mar 26, 11:15 PM

Buffalo Bills WR Stefon Diggs managed 63 catches - the second-lowest mark of his career - and was charged with a drop on 6.4 percent of his 94 targets - a dramatic increase from two percent in 2018 - but he still finished with a career-high 1,130 receiving yards in 2019 with the Minnesota Vikings due in part to averaging 13.1 yards before the catch per reception. That figure was more than double his 5.6 yards before the catch per reception the previous season.

Footballguys view: Diggs now gets to make big plays for Josh Allen. The Bills needed a true No.1 receiver and that's why they made a big trade for the veteran receiver. With Diggs on the team, John Brown will be a field-stretching No.2 receiver while Cole Beasley will continue to beat up defenses on underneath routes.

Vikings | Stefon Diggs staying put    Tue Feb 25, 11:51 AM

Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs will remain with the team in 2020, according to general manager Rick Spielman.

Footballguys view: There were rumblings and rumors that Diggs would be on the move and that he wants out of Minnesota. That doesn't seem to be the case right now as the veteran receiver is staying put. Of course, the Vikings could just be putting this out there so it perhaps increases the offers they could get for Diggs.

Vikings | Minnesota sees 2019 season end    Sat Jan 11, 07:31 PM

Minnesota Vikings QB Kirk Cousins went 21-for-29 for 172 yards, one touchdown and one interception against the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round playoff game. RB Dalvin Cook rushed for 18 yards on nine carries and caught six passes for eight yards during the game. WR Stefon Diggs caught two passes for 57 yards and one touchdown on five targets. WR Adam Thielen caught five passes for 50 yards on seven targets. TE Irv Smith caught three passes for 39 yards on three targets, while TE Kyle Rudolph caught two passes for four yards on three targets.

Footballguys view: It was a good run for the Vikings this season. They failed to make the palyoffs last year but made it to the Divisional Round this year. Next season, in the final season of Kirk Cousins contract, the Vikings are hoping to make the NFC Championship at least. We'll see if they can make that happen.   Vikings | Minnesota moving on to next round    Sun Jan 5, 04:36 PM

Minnesota Vikings QB Kirk Cousins went 19-for-31 for 242 yards and one touchdown against the New Orleans Saints in the Wild Card playoff game. RB Dalvin Cook rushed for 94 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries and caught three passes for 36 yards. RB Alexander Mattison rushed for 20 yards on five carries and caught one pass for 10 yards. WR Adam Thielen caught seven passes for 129 yards on nine targets. TE Kyle Rudolph caught four passes for 31 yards and one touchdown on seven targets, while WR Stefon Diggs caught two passes for 19 yards on three targets.

Footballguys view: Cousins was able to make big plays when it counted...essentially for the first time in his career. He was not known for making plays in big or primetime games but Cousins was money on Sunday. The Vikings ran the ball well and controlled the tempo of the game with their rushing attack. It will be a battle of two similarly structured offenses in the Divisional Round as they take on the 49ers.

Footballguys view: Diggs was an afterthought in the game plan for reasons unknown. The Chiefs secondary usually has multiple weak spots, but it was good in the toughest matchup it had this week. Diggs is still going to be tough to leave on the bench against the Cowboys next week since he came into this one red hot.

Footballguys view: Diggs made up for many disappointing weeks in one afternoon. Hopefully, you took a chance on him because of the Eagles poor pass defense. He'll have a tougher matchup against the Lions corners next week, but will feel like a much better start than he did going into this week.
