Carolina Panthers QB Teddy Bridgewater completed 13-of-23 passes for 176 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions, while replacement QB P.J. Walker ended with three interceptions. RB Rodney Smith led the team with 40 rushing yards and a score, while WR Curtis Samuel finished with seven grabs for a career-best 118 yards. WR D.J. Moore also hit the century mark with 101 receiving yards on 11 targets, while WR Robby Anderson ended up with three catches and 40 yards. SS Tre Boston led the defense with 10 total stops, a sack, a tackle for loss and a quarterback hit.
Footballguys view: Bridgewater hurt his foot in the game, but it's still clear that he's not the long term answer for the Panthers at quarterback. The Panthers pick 7th or 8th and should be in the market for a quarterback. Samuel had a big second half and should have teams lining up to sign him in free agency. |

Carolina Panthers WR Curtis Samuel (hamstring) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 17, and is listed as questionable for Week 15.
Footballguys view: After Keenan Allen's dud coming in with a hamstring issue, we'll be wary about playing Samuel even if active. His ceiling isn't that compelling with DJ Moore back this week. |

Footballguys view: Samuel started slow but came on in the second half to post a nice PPR day in the loss. DJ Moore could be back for Saturday's game against Green Bay to turn Samuel back into a flex play. |

Carolina Panthers WR Curtis Samuel caught eight passes for 70 yards and one touchdown against the Detroit Lions in Week 11. He was targeted 10 times during the game.
Footballguys view: Samuel had a terrific game with PJ Walker and made an excellent sprawling touchdown catch. He bounced back from a down Week 10 and should be a viable WR3/Flex against the Vikings next week no matter who starts at quarterback for Carolina. |
Curtis Samuel player page

Carolina Panthers WR Curtis Samuel posted three receptions for eight yards on five targets in Week 10 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers while running three times for four yards.
Footballguys view: Samuel's two week hot streak has come to an end. If Teddy Bridgewater's knee causes him to miss time, Samuel moves very close to the threshold of droppable in typical leagues. |

Carolina Panthers WR Curtis Samuel hauled in nine receptions for a career-high 105 yards and a touchdown on his nine targets in Week 9 against the Kansas City Chiefs, and he has at least one touchdown (four total) in three straight outings.
Footballguys view: Samuel made a spectacular catch and has evolved into a trusted target for Teddy Bridgewater, ahead of DJ Moore in the target pecking order. He'll be worth a WR3/Flex look every week going forward. |
Curtis Samuel player page

Carolina Panthers WR Curtis Samuel caught four passes for 31 yards and a touchdown during the team's Week 8 game against the Atlanta Falcons. Samuel also carried the ball three times for 23 yards and a score.
Footballguys view: Samuel got free on a flea flicker to score on the other end of a perfect throw from Teddy Bridgewater and also navigated through traffic to score as a runner for the second straight week, much to the chagrin of Mike Davis fantasy teams. He's a solid WR3/Flex play against the Chiefs next week. |

Carolina Panthers WR Curtis Samuel caught six passes for 48 yards against the New Orleans Saints in Week 7. He was targeted six times during the game.
Footballguys view: Samuel also scored as a runner on a classic goal to go handoff, so his value is on the rise. He had a big third down conversion to set up a field goal, but otherwise was used in the short passing game. Samuel will be a good what the heck flex against the Falcons on Thursday. |

Carolina Panthers WR Curtis Samuel (knee) is expected to play in Week 7's game against the New Orleans Saints.

Carolina Panthers CB Donte Jackson (toe), DT Zachariah Kerr (toe) and WR Curtis Samuel (knee) were limited in practice all week and are listed as questionable for Week 6 versus the Chicago Bears. DE Brian Burns (concussion) and WR Pharoh Cooper (neck) practiced in full Friday and have been removed from the injury report. OG Michael Schofield (non-injury) was not given a practice designations Friday but is expected to play.
Footballguys view: Jackson has a tough assignment with Allen Robinson and the Bears up this week, so it's not a good thing to see him at less than 100%. Teddy Bridgewater had said that the team wants to get Samuel more involved, but seeing him on the injury report reduces some of the optimism around him. |

Carolina Panthers WR Curtis Samuel (elbow) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 1.
Footballguys view: Samuel is part of the team's plan to replace RB Christian McCaffrey. He can be used as a runner and receiver for the Panthers. Expect Samuel to get around 5-7 touches per game. He's a TD dependent 'what the heck' flex. |

Carolina Panthers WR Curtis Samuel (elbow) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 30.
Footballguys view: Samuel is getting more work without RB Christian McCaffrey on the field. Mike Davis is the lead back and Samuel gets some carries here and there when he needs a breather. Samuel is further down in the pecking order at receiver. He's a versatile player who can be used as a runner or receiver, but Samuel's fantasy value is only in the 'what the heck' flex range. |

Carolina Panthers WR Curtis Samuel is expected to be more involved because 'good things happen when the ball is in his hands,' according to offensive coordinator Joe Brady.
Footballguys view: Samuel could get some more touches out of the backfield to help replace Christian McCaffrey in addition to the short receptions as a wide receiver that set him up for run after catch opportunities. Check and see if he was dropped by an impatient fantasy GM. |
Curtis Samuel player page

Carolina Panthers WR Curtis Samuel rushed four times for 26 yards in Week 2 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and he added two receptions for 13 yards on his only two targets.
Footballguys view: Samuel appears to be the odd man out in the Panthers passing game with Robby Anderson and DJ Moore both getting enough targets to equal many teams #1 receiver. He's not worth carrying in typical leagues. |

Carolina Panthers WR Curtis Samuel reportedly played well in the team's first practice without pads, but he has 'not been impressive' since then, according to Jonathan Alexander of the Charlotte Observer. Per Alexander, part of Samuel's struggles can be attributed to a minor hamstring injury.
Footballguys view: Samuel is a player who can line up in a variety of spots on the field. The team needs to find a way to use him correctly, and Samuel needs to get healthy and stay healthy. He is more of a 'what the heck' flex if he's playing well in the Panthers offense. |
