"I can promise you, he's working very hard. Early in the morning, he's here, he's attacking his rehab. That's the best way I can put it. When he's ready, he'll be ready." When asked if Chubb has progressed to running, Stefanski declined to say. Chubb, 28, agreed to a revised contract with Cleveland last week. In 77 career games, Chubb has recorded 6,511 yards rushing with 48 touchdowns -- averaging 5.3 yards per carry. Fantasy managers shouldn't get carried away here, but Chubb is generally still available in the double-digit rounds in best ball drafts. There comes a point where the risk is worth the potential late-season reward. |

We're going to be conservative in terms of our approach in our assessment with building the roster because (Chubb is) coming off of a major knee injury. But I do have to give him a lot of credit. He's done a really, really nice job. But I think we'll have a better sense. Don't hold me to it, but I think probably if you ask me that question around the draft, I may have maybe a little bit more of a specific answer,' Berry said.

Nick's a good runner when you try to block everybody. He's good from the (shotgun), good from the pistol, good from when quarterback is under center, so we talk a lot about versatility and offense. ... You can run anything with Nick. There (are) some runners that really prefer downhill gap scheme runs and maybe aren't great from the (shotgun). Chubb has to split time with RB Kareem Hunt this season, and that holds down some of his projected fantasy numbers. Oh yeah, the Browns may have QB Jacoby Brissett as their starter for most of the 2022 season and that doesn't help either. That being said, Chubb still has a current ADP of RB7 (1.11) in 12-team PPR leagues. |
