Footballguys Staff Bio: Matt Harmon
Education: Lynchburg College - Sociology
Occupation: Life Skills Coach
Family: Ha, please. But I have a dog.
Years playing fantasy football: Eight
Favorite FF smack talk: "No, for real, who do you really want to pick?"
Years writing about fantasy football: Nearly two.
Favorite FBG feature: The Audible. The show changed the way I approached and thought about football, is a major reason why I took up writing about the game, and consequently why I am here at Footballguys today.
Organized football experience: I was fat and lazy as a kid, so none.
Favorite NFL team: I have a complicated relationship with the Carolina Panthers
Favorite player of all time: Steve Smith.
NFL rule(s) I would change if I could: Will someone lock three philosophers in a room and let them decide what a catch is?
Favorite musical genres/albums/artists: I love everything, but music with an emotional kick and a banjo moves the needle.
What I read: Social theory books, such as Presentation of Self in Everyday Life and the Social Construction of Reality.
Hobbies: Been playing guitar for most of my life, and other instruments along the way.
Favorite TV show(s): So many to name, I'm a serial binge watcher. The Wire is the greatest show in TV history. House of Cards, The Sopranos, Breaking Bad, Hannibal, Game of Thrones. I'll spare you the rest.
Dream job: Something full-time in football.
