Week 12: vs Denver Broncos - $4600

All RB vs DEN

FBG says: Bad matchup. The Bills sport an above-average rushing offense led by contributions both from their running backs and quarterback, averaging 128.7 rushing yards per game (8th) while finding the end zone 11 times despite leading the league with nine fumbles. Devin Singletary has led the team in carries in each of his past four games, averaging 5.0 yards per carry over that span. Volume has been a big concern for Singletary though, as he has received just eight or fewer carries in three of his five games since returning from injury in Week 7. Frank Gore remains involved just enough to take some carries from Singletary, but both his snap count and productivity have fallen off cliffs as he no longer presents much value from a fantasy perspective. Quarterback Josh Allen has been prolific as a runner though, ranking third in rushing yards (331) amongst quarterbacks while leading his position with seven rushing touchdowns--including four in the past three weeks. Allen has rushed for at least 25 yards in all but two games while scoring a rushing touchdown in 6-of-10 games this season and should continue to add plenty of value to this offense with his legs. Denver had one of their most impressive performances of the season against the run last week as they shut down the league's leading rusher (prior to last week) Dalvin Cook, allowing just 26 rushing yards on 11 carries. While game script was in their favor, this group allowed practically no room for Cook to run. This has been the story as of late for the Broncos, as they have given up just 58 rushing yards per game and the fifth-fewest fantasy points per game (non-PPR scoring) to opposing running backs since Week 5--which includes games very talented runners such as Melvin Gordon, Derrick Henry, Marlon Mack, Nick Chubb, and now Dalvin Cook--none of whom exceeded 4.0 yards per rush attempt or 76 rushing yards. Shelby Harris has been just dominant on this offensive line while A.J. Johnson is developing into one of the premier run-stopping middle linebackers in the league based on the few games in which he has played. Johnson has also played a key part in bottling up opposing quarterbacks, as the Broncos have yet to allow a rushing touchdown to a quarterback while very few quarterbacks have even been allowed to break free for a run of more than eight yards. The Bills rushing offense--Josh Allen included--will have all they can handle in this one.

Recent Game Summaries

2019 Week 5 vs TEN (2 / 15 / 0 rush, 5 / 4 / 13 / 0 rec - 4.8 points, $4800)

T.J. Yeldon played in a committee role with Frank Gore with Devin Singletary absent for the third straight game. Yeldon was the primary passing game back, including designed screen passes, and played well despite a small statistical game. He was limited in the running game behind Gore but had a critical carry for a first down on a clock-killing drive at the end of the game. Yeldon is likely to take a reduction in snaps when Devin Singletary returns in week seven after a bye next week.

2019 Week 4 vs NE (0 / 0 / 0 rush, 4 / 4 / 68 / 0 rec - 8.8 points, $4600)

T.J. Yeldon was limited in the first half against the New England Patriots but got good passing game work in the second half. Yeldon had four receptions including a catch in the intermediate middle of the field. He was targeted on a trick play at the goal line but was unable to secure a catch in tight coverage. Yeldon's role has been nearly exclusively in the passing game with Devin Singletary missing his second consecutive week with a hamstring injury. Yeldon will face the Titans in week five.

2019 Week 3 vs CIN (8 / 30 / 0 rush, 3 / 2 / 19 / 0 rec - 3.9 points, $4600)

T.J. Yeldon saw his first extended work against the Cincinnati Bengals in week three. He was the primary beneficiary of Devin Singletary missing the game with a hamstring injury. He worked consistently behind Frank Gore but showed quickness on his carries. He had a bad fumble on a perimeter sweep where he had bad ball security. Notably, Yeldon worked ahead of Gore in the hurry-up offense at the end of the first half. He will be an interesting monitor player this week if Singletary misses next week, as Buffalo projects to be a home underdog against the Patriots and may be forced into a hurry-up situation.
