Week 11: at Miami Dolphins - $3000

All RB vs MIA

FBG says: Good matchup. If the past three weeks have been any indication, the Buffalo ground game has shifted into a full-blown three-headed attack. Quarterback Josh Allen continues to play a huge role, with six rushes or more in seven of the Bills' nine games. But behind him, Devin Singletary continues to stake out a lead-back claim over 36-year-old Frank Gore. Over the past 3 games, the rookie has taken on 67% of the team's snaps and out-carried Gore 31-25. Unsurprisingly, he's been more than twice as productive, averaging 5.0 yards per rush to Gore's 2.4. Singletary continues to impress with his blend of elusiveness and hidden power, not unlike 2018 rookie breakout Phillip Lindsay did in Denver. For his part, Gore looks burned out as a volume runner. He's produced just 61 yards over this 3-game span, and he hasn't found the end zone since Week 3. Slowly but surely, this is becoming a Singletary-Allen backfield, which was glimpsed in an efficient Week 9. Against the bottom-tier Redskins, Singletary took on 20 carries; he and Allen combined to rack up 107 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Dolphins still field one of football's most beatable run defenses. Through 9 games, they've given up the league's ninth-most yards per rush and third-most per game. On the plus side, they are coming off a solid two-game stretch that's seen them keep Le'Veon Bell (66 yards) and Marlon Mack (74) in check. Still, this remains one of fantasy's most exploitable matchups, and the Buffalo ground game projects well here. In previous weeks, this unit allowed five 100-yard rushers and hasn't gotten appreciably better. There's not much talent in this unit, which is in full transition mode, although at least the breakout of middle linebacker Raekwon McMillan has been impressive. The rotation around him has not, and quick-footed runners are finding room all over this thin front seven.

Recent Game Summaries

2019 Week 5 vs TEN (2 / 15 / 0 rush, 5 / 4 / 13 / 0 rec - 6.8 points, $3800)

T.J. Yeldon played in a committee role with Frank Gore with Devin Singletary absent for the third straight game. Yeldon was the primary passing game back, including designed screen passes, and played well despite a small statistical game. He was limited in the running game behind Gore but had a critical carry for a first down on a clock-killing drive at the end of the game. Yeldon is likely to take a reduction in snaps when Devin Singletary returns in week seven after a bye next week.

2019 Week 4 vs NE (0 / 0 / 0 rush, 4 / 4 / 68 / 0 rec - 10.8 points, $3700)

T.J. Yeldon was limited in the first half against the New England Patriots but got good passing game work in the second half. Yeldon had four receptions including a catch in the intermediate middle of the field. He was targeted on a trick play at the goal line but was unable to secure a catch in tight coverage. Yeldon's role has been nearly exclusively in the passing game with Devin Singletary missing his second consecutive week with a hamstring injury. Yeldon will face the Titans in week five.

2019 Week 3 vs CIN (8 / 30 / 0 rush, 3 / 2 / 19 / 0 rec - 5.9 points, $3800)

T.J. Yeldon saw his first extended work against the Cincinnati Bengals in week three. He was the primary beneficiary of Devin Singletary missing the game with a hamstring injury. He worked consistently behind Frank Gore but showed quickness on his carries. He had a bad fumble on a perimeter sweep where he had bad ball security. Notably, Yeldon worked ahead of Gore in the hurry-up offense at the end of the first half. He will be an interesting monitor player this week if Singletary misses next week, as Buffalo projects to be a home underdog against the Patriots and may be forced into a hurry-up situation.
