Week 6: at New York Giants

All WR vs NYG

FBG says: Neutral matchup. Carson Wentz still looks a bit hesitant as he is recovering from his knee injury. Even though he has had two consecutive 300-yard performances, he has not shown the same mobility that he did prior to the injury as he continues to wear a large brace around his knee. We did start to see signs last week against the Vikings that he is getting more and more comfortable which is highly encouraging. Zach Ertz is leading the way in consistency for this year and has provided a nice security blanket for Wentz as the two look to get back on the pace they were on in 2017. Look for the Eagles to get more consistency out of Alshon Jeffery as he gets healthier after returning from injury earlier this season if he can get going this could be an even more dangerous passing attack and should continue to improve throughout the year. The Giants secondary has been one of the surprise teams of the season as outside of a game against Houston in which Eli Apple did not play, this unit has been very strong. Apple has been leading the way of this secondary and should line up on Alshon Jeffery for most of this week's game while Janoris Jenkins will be on the other side. Jenkins has struggled a bit after starting strong but is a highly volatile player who plays with a lot of energy which sometimes comes back to hurt him with consistency. The one area that the Giants struggle is against the tight end which could lead to a big game for Ertz. The Giants have not faced a tight end of his caliber and are averaging allowing 53 yards to opposing tight ends. The Giants should also get Olivier Vernon back which will be a significant impact to their pass rush this week.
