WR Verran Tucker - Free Agent
|6-2, 200||Born: 6-26-1988||College: California||Drafted: ---|
2010 Week 9 vs OAK (1 / 1 / 11 / 1 rec)
Tucker had the play of the game for Kansas City, a leaping catch of a Cassel softball in the corner of the end zone. He got both feet down somehow and the catch survived a challenge. Tucker wasn't really involved for the rest of the game, but the skill he showed on that catch could indicate bigger things in his future.
2010 Week 10 vs DEN (3 / 1 / 38 / 0 rec)
Tucker displayed great speed on a go route beating DEN CB deep. Tucker also showed good ball location, catching the pass deep downfield right over the head of the defender. He was not a factor otherwise in this game however, even as pass heavy as the Chiefs were.
2010 Week 11 vs ARI (4 / 1 / 13 / 0 rec)
The rookie speedster had a couple of opportunities to make big plays in this game, including a fade route to the corner of the end zone that should have been caught, but he shows promise and is becoming a bigger part of the offense.
2010 Week 12 vs SEA (2 / 1 / 24 / 0 rec)
Verran Tucker caught a nice pass on a quick slant which he took for 24 yards, showing good run after the catch ability. He was also targeted on a hitch route which was broken up by the defensive back. Tucker started the game for the Chiefs, but wasn't on the field all the time in two wide receiver sets, so don't get too excited that he could see his production increase given Bowe's success.
2010 Week 13 vs DEN (4 / 2 / 28 / 0 rec)
Tucker is showing great signs of things to come, but won't produce in this offense reliably unless it's from a big play down the field. He has great concentration and hands, hanging onto a pass over the middle after taking a big hit. Tucker also ran a nice out route and gave Cassel a lot of room to throw into, but gets lost in this run heavy offense with Bowe and Moeaki as the established targets.
