Sterling wasn't on the field much, and his single catch came in the second quarter. His other moment came during the first drive when he was called for a false start.
2017 Week 17 vs NE (8 / 5 / 74 / 0 rec)
Starting in place of Austin Seferian-Jenkins, Sterling led the team in receiving yardage. Sterling worked the seams and made several big grabs. Sterling had a long catch and run of 35 yards on a deep post route.
2016 Week 13 vs DEN (6 / 5 / 43 / 0 rec)
With Julius Thomas both injured and ineffective, Sterling has taken a firm grasp on the role Thomas plays in the offense. The former WR has a knack for getting open and looks more comfortable each week that he is on the field. It remains to be seen if he will continue to see playing time when Thomas returns, but he has earned that right.
