2009 Week 3 vs PHI (4 / 4 / 22 / 0 rec)
Sean Ryan started at tight end for Kansas City in Week 3, but the Chiefs do not utilize the TE much in their passing attack. Ryan's four catches against the Eagles may be a season high for him and the 22 total yards illustrates how short of a route Ryan runs when he does go out for a pass.
2009 Week 4 vs NYG (7 / 5 / 58 / 1 rec)
Sean Ryan made surprising contributions against the Giants in Week 4, catching a touchdown on a first and goal from the New York one-yard line in the fourth quarter. Ryan followed this up with a pretty 43-yard catch and run down the seam to put the Chiefs again in the Giants' red zone. While all of this production was long after the game had been decided, his late production may catch the coaching staff's attention and could lead to him contributing more sooner rather than later.
2009 Week 5 vs DAL (4 / 2 / 27 / 0 rec)
Ryan worked the middle of the field for a few receptions, but his biggest catch of the day was called back by a penalty, and he wasn't a big part of the Chiefs passing attack for the most part.
2009 Week 6 vs WAS (3 / 1 / 11 / 0 rec)
Sean Ryan started for the Chiefs in Week 6, catching two passes but with all of his yardage coming on his 11-yard grab in the fourth quarter. He also had a 12-yard catch but that was nullified by penalty.

Sean Ryan's name was barely even mentioned until he hurt himself. He didn't catch a pass, and there was no news immediately after the game about his condition.

Ryan badly dropped his target, and Cassel didn't go back to him for the rest of the day.

2006 Week 3 vs BUF (0 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)
