Week 6: vs Tennessee Titans - $

All RB vs TEN

FBG says: Tough matchup. The Broncos backfield duo of Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman combined for a stellar outing last week against the Chargers. Lindsay saw the slightly heavier rushing workload for the fifth straight game as he rushed 15 times for 114 yards and a touchdown--easily his best game of the season from a productivity perspective. Royce Freeman also had one of his top rushing performances of the year, rushing 13 times for 61 yards. Lindsay played well from start to finish last week, especially as he wore down the Chargers defense late in the game. Lindsay has now cleared five yards per carry in back-to-back games as he is finally breaking off a few big runs and showing off his elusiveness. He is also seeing the goal line work when healthy, as displayed last week with his touchdown run from inside the five yard-line. Freeman has seen decent volume but continues to play a very close second-fiddle to Lindsay. The Broncos offensive line is run blocking relatively well right now even as they continue to suit up without starting right tackle Ja'Wuan James--who remains questionable for this week's game. They should remain a mid-tier run-blocking unit. The Titans put forth another solid effort against the run last week as they held Frank Gore to just 60 yards on 14 carries, shutting him down for most of the game as Gore had just two runs of more than five yards through the first 57 minutes. It continues to be the big runs late in the game that seems to plague this group, as Gore accounted for half his yards (30) on just two carries with minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. This run defense is set to match up well with most opposing rushing offenses as they are well-coached, tackle effectively, and have contributors both upfront and in the secondary to chip in against the run. Jurrell Casey and Daquon Jones certainly play a big part in this group's success, but linebackers and defensive backs alike have been key to locking down opposing running backs for most of the game. They just need to hold their poise late in games to rise up as a truly elite run defense. The Broncos offensive line did look better in run blocking last week, but they should still have a tough time with this Titans defense.
