Week 11: vs Pittsburgh Steelers

All WR vs PIT

FBG says: Neutral matchup. The NFL did the Browns passing offense no favors in their schedule as they had five consecutive games against San Francisco, Seattle, New England, Denver, and Buffalo who are five of the best pass defenses in the NFL. Mayfield over the last two weeks has looked better as he has not thrown an interception over the last two games, and has completed 66% of his passes on the year. The Browns were desperately looking for a third option in the passing game to complement Odell Beckham and Jarvis Landry and may have found someone in Kareem Hunt who caught 7 passes for the Browns this past week. Teams continue to try to take Beckham out of the equation forcing the Browns to go to other options and they were successful going to Landry who for this offense to continue to work needs to continue to play at a high level as he now has more receptions, yards, and touchdowns than Beckham in this offense. This is a team that will look to continue to get on track for the rest of the season as the schedule lightens up in the remaining 7 games. The Steelers pass defense is a bit of an enigma as they have been fortunate in the schedule that they have had since Week 4. The Steelers have only faced two teams in the top half of the league in passing yards, both of which are on a downward spiral in the Chargers and the Rams. When facing good talent, this is a secondary that has struggled as they have allowed 275 yards or more to San Francisco, Seattle, New England, and the Chargers and allowed 300 yards or more to the last three of that group. To be fair, only one of those games was after Minkah Fitzpatrick joined the team which Fitzpatrick has been tremendous for this defense. The reality here is that this is still a defense that has been volatile against good competition but has been elite against poor competition. At the corner position, Joe Haden, Mike Hilton, and Steven Nelson have all been good, not great corners, but there is not a major flaw in this defense. If there is a spot for concern it is at the linebacker position as Devin Bush and Mark Barron have struggled mightily against the position which has led to the Steelers giving up the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends this season.
