Week 6: at Miami Dolphins - $3700

All WR vs MIA

FBG says: Great matchup. The Redskins come into this week with a new head coach after firing Jay Gruden, but they remain one of the worst passing offenses in football--ranking 26th in the league with just 212 passing yards per game. Case Keenum was sidelined in Week 5 with a foot injury, which led to a very uninspiring start from journeyman Colt McCoy. While the Patriots defense can make even top quarterbacks look bad, McCoy has done nothing throughout his career to make anyone excited about the prospect of another start in Week 6. Keenum could be back on the field, however, so keep an eye on his practice status. Speaking of back on the field, Terry McLaurin returned from injury last week wand went right back to leading the team in targets and receiving yards as he looks to be nicely recovered. Paul Richardson has been mildly involved, and Vernon Davis remained sidelined with a concussion last week. He is questionable coming into Week 6. Running back Chris Thompson also continued to yield consistent results through the air as he has been targeted more than any other Redskins player and is averaging around five catches with 56 receiving yards per game. The offensive line has been letting the team down in recent weeks though, averaging just over four sacks allowed per game since Week 3--tied for fourth-worst over that three-game span. That is a grim sign for a team that already has quarterback problems. The Dolphins have been bad all around on defense this season. They rank 31st in the league with 296 passing yards allowed per game and are tied for the second-most passing touchdowns allowed (12) despite having already been through their bye week. They also rank last in the league in both sacks (5) and interceptions (1). Cornerback Xavien Howard was supposed to be a bright spot for this secondary, but he has underperformed throughout the season and will not be as scary of a matchup as one might think for Terry McLaurin. Slot cornerback Eric Rowe has also been a big weak spot, giving up nearly three yards per route covered--one of the highest marks in the league at his position. He should make Trey Quinn an interesting option for fantasy purposes this week. While the Redskins offense looks to be in a tough spot right now, whoever ends up under center should not have too difficult of time against this reeling defense.

Recent Game Summaries

2019 Week 5 vs NE (4 / 3 / 15 / 0 rec - 3.5 points, $3500)

Quinn did not make an impact in this game as he tallied three receptions for fifteen yards. He lost a fumble as well but his overall contribution wasn't felt for Washington's offense

2019 Week 4 vs NYG (4 / 2 / 10 / 0 rec - 3 points, $3000)

Quinn was basically non-existent in this game with two catches. He was targeted four times, but all his opportunities came on short passes. Aside from the one deep shot where he was terribly overthrown. The offense went in the tank once it was taken over by Dwayne Haskins.

2019 Week 3 vs CHI (7 / 5 / 30 / 0 rec - 8 points, $3000)

Trey Quinn caught five passes for thirty yards. His receptions didn't make much of an impact as he was used mostly as a safety valve. As the third option in a shaky passing attack, he will be inconsistent most weeks.

2019 Week 2 vs DAL (7 / 4 / 36 / 0 rec - 7.6 points, $3900)

Quinn was the third most targeted receiver for Washington today, but it resulted in less than forty yards. Trey is more of a short to intermediate target for Washington so it will take a few breaks for him to accumulate big yardage. His targets are a good indication of his involvement, but he is utilized as more of a chain mover.

2019 Week 1 vs PHI (6 / 4 / 33 / 1 rec - 13.3 points, $3400)

Terry Quinn did not make much of an impact in today's game. Trey was most involved during garbage time as he caught two of his four receptions and scored a last-minute touchdown. The slot receiver is a key cog in the Washington offense but today was quiet for Trey. There might be some inconsistency amongst the receiving core as roles are being defined early in the year.
