Game Recaps

2013 Week 4 vs ATL (1 / 1 / 1 / 1 rec)

Matthew Mulligan's lone catch and target was a threaded needle bullet on play action from the 1 yard line that resulted in a touchdown. Mulligan is mostly a blocking tight end, so touchdowns may be few and far between for him.

2012 Week 2 vs WAS (2 / 2 / 14 / 1 rec)

Mulligan caught his first career touchdown pass from Sam Bradford at the beginning of the fourth quarter. Juking the Redskins' defensive line, Mulligan found himself a wide-open target for Bradford in the back of the Washington end zone. Mulligan's reception was set up by a Rams' block of Sav Rocca's punt, the second blocked punt the Redskins suffered in as many games.

2012 Week 3 vs CHI (1 / 1 / 12 / 0 rec)

Mulligan was the starting TE for the Rams in this game, but was primarily used as a blocking TE. His one catch came on a nice play action where Bradford rolled to the right and Mulligan was coming across the field from the left side. It was a shallow crossing route, but Mulligan made a nice catch in stride and broke up field for a 12 yard gain.

2012 Week 6 vs MIA (2 / 2 / 15 / 0 rec)

Mulligan had some rare action against Miami, getting two targets as a second tight end on the field. Both were short dump offs where Bradford was just looking for a safety value after his primary options were covered.

2012 Week 8 vs NE (2 / 1 / 18 / 0 rec)

Mulligan did a good job settling into a hole in the zone for a 19 yard gain on his only reception.

2012 Week 17 vs SEA (2 / 1 / 10 / 0 rec)

Mulligan had just one catch, Bradford's first completion of the game. With the QB booting, Mulligan slipped into the flat for the 10-yard gain.

2011 Week 2 vs JAX (3 / 2 / 8 / 0 rec)

Mulligan was targeted early in the second quarter, hauling in two of them for catches. Mulligan showed nice hands on both catches and good effort to try and get some extra yards even if he couldn't quite pull it off.

2011 Week 3 vs OAK (1 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)

Mulligan was targeted just once on a short pass across the middle which was broken up by LB Quinten Groves.

2011 Week 5 vs NE (1 / 1 / 4 / 0 rec)

The back up tight end was on the field for about half the offensive snaps, relegated mostly to blocking. Mulligan is an ok receiver, but it's not why he's on the field and if Keller isn't seeing targets, Mulligan won't see any on any consistent basis.

2011 Week 17 vs MIA (1 / 1 / 41 / 0 rec)

Mulligan had just one catch on a very nice throw by.....wide receiver Jeremy Kerley. On the play, the defense was pulled up towards Kerley who had scrambled to the right. Mulligan was left alone and wide open down the field. Mulligan made a nice catch and turned upfield to gain some extra yards before being brought down.

2010 Week 18 vs IND (1 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)

Mulligan was targeted once on a short pass to the right but could not come up with the ball.
