WR Scott Miller - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
|5-9, 174||Born: 7-31-1997||College: Bowling Green State||Drafted: Round 6, pick 2019|
2019 Week 5 vs NO (2 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec, 1 / 18 / 0 rush)
Miller had a rough debut as he joined Evans and Godwin in 3WR sets. He appeared to have a route miscommunication with Winston on the first drive that resulted in an ugly interception that was luckily negated by a delay of game penalty. Winston tossed one well over his head on a short out route on the next drive. Miller did have a nice carry on an end-around sweep that picked up 18 yards in the 2nd quarter.
2019 Week 6 vs CAR (7 / 3 / 39 / 0 rec)
Miller mixed into the receiver rotation in Breshad Perriman's absence, working outside and in the slot. Miller appeared to fumble after a 19 yard reception on a 3rd quarter skinny post, but the call was overturned by official review. Miller had a step on his defender on a deep ball in the 4th quarter, but Winston overthrew him badly. He finished with 3 catches on his 7 targets.
2019 Week 8 vs TEN (1 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)
Miller continued to mix into the receiver rotation despite the return of Perriman, who had a rough game. Miller had a step on his defender on a deep ball in the 2nd quarter, but couldn't quite haul in an overthrown pass from Winston.
2019 Week 10 vs ARI (3 / 2 / 33 / 0 rec)
Miller mixed into the receiver rotation with Perriman. He had a short reception on a shallow crossing route in the 2nd quarter. Winston targeted him in the end zone with a desperate and ill-advised heave in the 3rd quarter that was lucky to not be intercepted. The highlight of Miller's day was a beautiful leaping catch over a defender for a 28 yard gain up the seam in the 3rd quarter.
2019 Week 11 vs NO (6 / 4 / 71 / 0 rec)
Miller showed his wheels off on what was nearly his first NFL touchdown in the 2nd quarter. Winston hit him down the right sideline and Miller's defender managed to trip him up just shy of the goal line after a beautiful 48 yard catch in stride. Miller narrowly missed another deep ball with a diving effort in the 3rd quarter, then followed that play up with a nice toe-tapping reception on the left sideline. Miller finished with a career high in targets(6), catches(4), and yards(71).
2019 Week 12 vs ATL (1 / 1 / 8 / 0 rec, 1 / -2 / 0 rush)
Miller saw plenty of snaps in the receiver rotation after a productive week against the Saints last week. He sniffed the end zone in the 2nd quarter as Winston hit him on an out route that Miller took to the Atlanta 1 yard line, just before Chris Godwin sealed the drive with a short touchdown catch. Miller was taken down behind the line of scrimmage on a well-defended jet sweep in the 3rd quarter.
2019 Week 15 vs DET (3 / 3 / 49 / 1 rec)
Miller looked sharp before re-injuring his hamstring. He caught a bubble screen and ripped off a 15 yard gain that negated by a block in the back penalty early in the 1st. He grabbed an out route for an 11 yard gain later in the 1st. He lined up in the left slot and took the top off the defense for a 33 yard touchdown on a deep corner route. Miller left at the end of the 1st quarter after aggravating his hamstring.
