Week 11: at Baltimore Ravens

All WR vs BAL

FBG says: Bad matchup. The Texans passing offense has been an up and down unit as they have reaped the benefits of what has been a top-5 rushing offense to start the season. Deshaun Watson has one of the highest fantasy ceilings in football with his dynamic and inventive play style, and he is coming off back-to-back outings with multiple touchdowns leading into the bye. Watson has also shown vulnerability at times, but for the most part, he has been the best player on the field for this Texans offense. DeAndre Hopkins has commanded double-digit targets in four straight games, either scoring or crossing the 100-yard mark in three of those four games. Hopkins has had quite the underwhelming season by his standards though, averaging just 74 receiving yards per game while on pace for fewer than 10 yards per catch for the first time in his career. The bye week was well-timed for Will Fuller, who returned to practice this week and has a good chance of playing for the first time since exiting in Week 7. Fuller should return as WR2 for this offense, but he had just one explosion of a game amidst a number of mediocre performances when healthy this season. Kenny Stills will be relegated back to the slot, a role that fits him well. Tight end Darren Fells will also remain a boom or bust play at his position, as he has found the end zone in back-to-back weeks and six times this season but also finished six games with two or fewer receptions. The Ravens defense has been one of the best in the league in recent weeks, locking down opposing passing offenses by giving up just five passing touchdowns in their last six games while nabbing just as many interceptions (5) since Week 4. While they only faced two quality opponents (Tom Brady and Russell Wilson) over that six-game stretch, this secondary still limited both to very meager games while shutting down the other quarterbacks just as they should have. The secondary has been the absolute strength of this defense since the addition of Marcus Peters to play alongside Marlon Humphrey. Cornerback Marcus Peters has been a very strong addition to this group, racking up two interceptions returned for touchdowns in just three games with Baltimore. Peters should see most snaps against Hopkins, which should make it more difficult than usual for Hopkins to put up an elite stat line. The rest of these Texans receivers and tight ends also have unfavorable matchups against these top-notch Ravens defensive backs.
