Fullback Lane saw a lot of action as a lead blocker in the backfield and recorded one reception for 7 yards on a short play-action out route in the third quarter. Lane had another short reception on the same play negated by a holding penalty earlier in the quarter.
2015 Week 10 vs DAL (0 / 0 / 0 rush, 1 / 1 / 8 / 0 rec)
Lane had a busy day as a lead blocker in pro style offensive sets, and caught his lone target of the day for 8 yards. WInston took the snap under center and faked a handoff before rolling right and hitting Lane on a shallow out route.
2015 Week 11 vs PHI (0 / 0 / 0 rush, 0 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)
Fullback Lane saw extensive work as a lead blocker in heavier 2TE/Fullback sets and had a clutch recovery of a Jameis Winston fumble in the 2nd quarter.
2012 Week 3 vs NYJ (2 / 4 / 1 rush, 1 / 1 / 1 / 0 rec)
The Dolphins' bruising fullback picked up a key third-down on his team's first drive. The Dolphins rewarded him with a goal-line plunge late in the third quarter.
2012 Week 4 vs ARI (3 / 2 / 1 rush, 0 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)
Lane, a professional fullback, was a running back in college so it's no surprise that he was successful in this game as a short yardage runner. Lane lined up as a fullback in a short yardage situation at midfield, before lining up as a running back at the goalline and powering his way into the endzone for the touchdown. A poor spot cost Lane a conversion on a fourth and short in the fourth quarter. Lane also caught a two-point conversion over his shoulder running into the endzone.
2012 Week 5 vs CIN (2 / -5 / 0 rush, 2 / 2 / 20 / 0 rec)
Only getting two carries on Sunday, Lane made sure to really hurt any future chances of expanded carries in the future. Lane's first carry came on Miami's first foray in the red zone and he fumbled it away. Later Lane would receive a carry on 4th and short, but Cincinnati stuffed him for no gain. Lane did have two catches, the best coming off play action as Lane slid into the flat and took it for 15 yards.
2012 Week 6 vs STL (0 / 0 / 0 rush, 2 / 2 / 12 / 0 rec)
Lane was a safety valve on two occasions for Tannehill, making clean catches both times, but seeing little daylight after the catch.
2012 Week 11 vs BUF (1 / 0 / 0 rush, 0 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)
Lane was given one carry as the Dolphins tried to create some room after being pinned on their own one, but was stuffed at the line of scrimmage and nearly tackled in the end zone for a safety.
2012 Week 13 vs NE (0 / 0 / 0 rush, 1 / 1 / 2 / 0 rec)
Lane was minimally involved on offense against New England. His lone chance came on a reception in the flat. Lane was hit immediately and fumbled. Luckily, he was able to get on the ball to keep possession.
2012 Week 15 vs JAX (0 / 0 / 0 rush, 2 / 2 / 6 / 1 rec)
Lane was again active around the goal line. The athletic fullback has three touchdowns this season on just 22 offensive touches. This week, Lane came wide open in the middle of the end zone on a well-designed fake-reverse play. Early in the third quarter, Lane contributed a false start penalty as well.
