Recent Game Summaries
2019 Week 16 vs PHI (1 / 1 / 14 / 0 rec)
Jarwin saw just one target in the road loss to Philadelphia, his lowest total since Week 9. Jarwin corralled a deep out target for a chunk gain as Jason Witten struggled to offer impact this week.
2019 Week 15 vs LAR (3 / 2 / 40 / 0 rec)
Jarwin was impactful yet again even with only three targets against the Rams. Jarwin converted a third--down target with yards after the catch down the sideline and later on the same drive came wide open on a play-action design for more than 15 yards. Jarwin has consistently offered a big-play presence to blend with Jason Witten's chain-moving short-range acumen for Dallas at tight end this season.
2019 Week 14 vs CHI (7 / 6 / 50 / 0 rec)
Jarwin posted a season-high 50 yards against Chicago, adding a deep element to Jason Witten's possession game in Dallas' passing game. Jarwin hauled in a low grab on a deep out plus added a high point on third-and-long, both on Dallas' impressive long touchdown drive to open the game. Jarwin had another deep opportunity but was overthrown by Dak Prescott. Jarwin added two late-fourth quarter receptions to pad his stat line.
2019 Week 12 vs NE (4 / 3 / 17 / 0 rec)
Jarwin saw a hearty four targets against the Patriots, tying his season high mark. Jarwin's most notable moment was fumbling after the catch on a hitch route but recovered to keep possession. Jarwin had no open field or downfield opportunities in the low-scoring matchup.
2019 Week 11 vs DET (2 / 2 / 38 / 0 rec)
Jarwin saw only two targets against Detroit but turned both into quality plays. He turned upfield on a crossing route for 15 yards after the catch and added additional yardage again on a well-designed play-action reception in the closing minutes of Dallas' road win.
2019 Week 10 vs MIN (4 / 3 / 35 / 0 rec)
Jarwin saw a season-high four targets against the Vikings. Dak Prescott found Jarwin rolling left down the sideline with the athletic tight end turning the catch upfield for 26 yards into field goal range. Jarwin added two quick out route receptions in the closing seconds as Dallas set up a hail mary attempt to potentially win the game.
2019 Week 9 vs NYG (1 / 1 / 42 / 1 rec)
Jarwin saw a single target against the Giants but made the most of his opportunity. Dak Prescott broke the pocket and found Jarwin loose on the sideline. Jarwin burst to the end zone for a long yards-after-catch-infused touchdown. Jarwin has yet to post more than 50 yards in a game this season as the ancillary tight end but is one of more intriguing injury-away options with his fluid movement if Jason Witten were to miss time.
2019 Week 4 vs NO (3 / 3 / 49 / 0 rec)
Jarwin has been one of the more active secondary tight ends in the NFL through the opening month and saw another promising three targets against New Orleans. Jarwin's main contribution was a perfect seam throw from Dak Prescott as Jarwin rumbled down to the goal line. Jarwin has shown big-play ability if his role increases with an absence by Jason Witten going forward.
2019 Week 3 vs MIA (3 / 1 / 3 / 0 rec)
Jarwin saw three targets against Miami but his best chance for a big play - a wide open opportunity for 15+ yards - was one of Dak Prescott's least accurate throws of the game as the pair missed on the connection. Jarwin added a drop and was tackled short of the marker on third down with his lone reception in a non-descript effort.
2019 Week 2 vs WAS (1 / 1 / 22 / 0 rec)
Jarwin is simmering as a secondary tight end offense for the Cowboys but flashed for a second consecutive week behind the short-range-centric Jason Witten. Jarwin corralled his lone target, a corner route, for a chunk gain against Washington. Jarwin offers more upside for impact plays if Jason Witten were to miss time.
2019 Week 1 vs NYG (3 / 3 / 39 / 1 rec)
Jarwin was the secondary tight end to Jason Witten in terms of snaps (40% versus 66%) but Jarwin showed well down the seam for a back-shoulder touchdown as Dallas surged as a passing offense against the Giants. With Witten limited to short areas of the field, Jarwin offers a more well-rounded role to the position, notable for the upcoming weeks.
