Game Recaps

2010 Week 1 vs NYG (4 / 2 / 40 / 0 rec)

Jarrett had an ok day, catching two of his four targets, but he didn't do enough to unseat LaFell as the second option. He still seems unimpressive anytime he's on the field.

2010 Week 4 vs NO (1 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)

Jarrett got one target that got deflected into the air and looked as lost as he has for most of his career trying to locate the ball in the air. He may get a chance to do more with Steve Smith likely out for at least a game, but don't expect much.

2009 Week 2 vs ATL (1 / 1 / 9 / 0 rec)

Jarrett only contributed a catch on the desperation drive, and an almost-catch on the game-ending hail mary deflection, but he is close to irrelevant for this team.

2009 Week 3 vs DAL (1 / 1 / 10 / 0 rec)

Jarrett caught one pass in the two-minute drill, but he is clearly a bit player in this offense.

2009 Week 8 vs ARI (2 / 2 / 22 / 0 rec)

Jarrett filled in for the injured Muhsin Muhammad. He proved to be a reliable target early on, but was only thrown to twice, and not at all in the second half.

2009 Week 9 vs NO (7 / 4 / 30 / 0 rec)

Jarrett had one of his more productive games as a NFL WR in week 9. Filling in for the injured Mushin Muhammad, Jarrett saw season highs in targets (7) - catches (4) - and yards (30). He remains an enigma who has yet to cash in on his once enormous potential.

2009 Week 10 vs ATL (1 / 1 / 7 / 0 rec)

Jarrett fought really hard for a first down on his target during the game-opening drive, but he wasn't heard from again after that.

2009 Week 11 vs MIA (5 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)

WR Dwayne Jarrett was the third option for Carolina in Week 11, entering into the game in three-wide sets. He saw several targets but had no catches on the night against Miami.

2009 Week 12 vs NYJ (5 / 2 / 43 / 0 rec)

Jarrett actually had a late impact in this game, catching a desperation pass from Delhomme on fourth and long, and competing well for another jumpball catch. Jarrett had a TD catch on yet another 50/50 ball in the game's waning minutes, but he was called for a blatant pass interference penalty - at least Jarrett was playing physical with a competitive "my ball" mentality, something we haven't seen much during his first three years in the league.

2009 Week 17 vs NO (5 / 5 / 68 / 1 rec)

Where has this guy been? The rarely used and always disappointing WR came into the mix during a 2 minute drill to finish the 1st half, catching key passes including a 30 yd TD. He made a terrific one handed catch down the sideline later to start the 3rd quarter. He has never been known for his quickness, so his hands need to be what allows him to earn his keep in the NFL. Was this a step in that direction or a tease? Time will tell.

2008 Week 1 vs SD (4 / 2 / 36 / 0 rec)

He wasn't a focal point of the offense by any means, but Dwayne Jarrett made a couple of plays in this game and contributed a key 25 yard reception on third down to extend a drive that eventually led to a field goal. Jarrett nearly scored a touchdown late in the first half, but DB Steve Gregory jarred the ball loose as Jarrett went up to get it. He didn't make a ton of plays or get a ton of chances, but he at least looked like he belonged on the field.

2008 Week 7 vs NO (2 / 1 / 13 / 0 rec)

The former number one draft choice caught one pass in the first quarter for 13 yards.

2008 Week 8 vs ARI (4 / 2 / 25 / 0 rec)

Jarrett had only two receptions for 25 yards, Late in the fourth quarter, he made a 17 yard catch over the middle on a third and ten to help the Panthers hold the ball for the last 5:57 of the game.

2008 Week 14 vs TB (1 / 1 / 7 / 0 rec)

Jarrett caught seven yard pass on a quick slant for a first down in the second quarter for his only catch of the game. He did get a pass thrown to him into the end zone and drew a pass interference penalty.

2008 Week 15 vs DEN (1 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)

Delhomme overthrew an open Jarrett on a potential big play. Jarrett dove, but was unable to corral the pass.

2008 Week 19 vs ARI (3 / 2 / 27 / 0 rec)

Jarrett was target once each in the second, third, and fourth quarter. He caught two passes for a 13.5 average.

2007 Week 4 vs TB (1 / 1 / 6 / 0 rec)

Jarrett caught his first career pass for six yards. It was his only target of the game.

2007 Week 10 vs ATL (4 / 2 / 28 / 0 rec)

Dwayne Jarrett got into the game and caught two passes for 28 yards. Testaverde looked his way on third down three of the four times he was targeted. He went deep on a couple of passes and caught one for 22 yards. It got Carolina out from deep in their own territory.

2007 Week 11 vs GB (6 / 3 / 39 / 0 rec)

Jarrett caught three passes for 39 yards. Two of his three catches went for first downs. More importantly were his incompletes. He was targeted twice in the end zone when Carolina had gotten down to the Green Bay five yard line. The first pass was batted away but the second pass should have been caught. Jarrett had it in his hands but did not secure it and the ball got knocked away by the defender.

2007 Week 12 vs NO (2 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)

Jarrett was able to get into the game. He received two targets but neither pass resulted in a completion. The first pass was a deep ball that was intercepted. The second was another deep pass that was incomplete late in the game.
