The Broncos decided to bring back Jeff Heuerman before the 2019 season. He was on the free agent market but didn't get much interest. He stayed with Denver in 2019 and didn't do much in eight games. When healthy, Heuerman played as a blocking tight end behind starter Noah Fant. Heuerman has never played a full 16-game season during his pro career and has battled various injuries since coming into the league as a third-round pick out of Ohio State in 2016. With free agent addition Nick Vannett, Heuerman's college teammate, and the selection of Albert Okwuegbunam in the 2020 NFL draft we will be surprised if Heuerman makes the 53-man roster. (May 10)
