|6-0, 220||Born: 12-14-1993||College: Cincinnati||Drafted: ---|
2017 Week 13 vs BAL (11 / 51 / 1 rush, 0 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)
Undrafted rookie Tion Green made his season debut in the absence of Ameer Abdullah. On his first carry of the season, Green got to the edge for a 33-yard run. Green was later used in the red zone where he scored on a toss sweep. Green was the third back into the game, after Riddick and Zenner, but led the Lions in carries and rushing despite entering the game in the second quarter. Green ran with good burst and ran hard on his opportunities, where he was able to get to the edge of Baltimore's defense.
2017 Week 14 vs TB (5 / 15 / 0 rush, 0 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)
Tion Green was the second back in the game behind Theo Riddick. Green was held in check, but had a 12-yard gain called back on holding. Green is an unexceptional athlete, but ran hard and decisively in his limited opportunities.
2017 Week 15 vs CHI (10 / 35 / 0 rush, 0 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)
Tion Green was the second back in the game, behind Theo Riddick but in front of Ameer Abdullah. Green carried the primary workload in the second half after Riddick's first half fumble and injury. Green ran hard, but he is unexceptional football player, and did not have much room to run. Green tends to run hesitant, but when he makes up his mind he runs hard. Green also showed a nice stiff arm on a run where he was able to get yards after contact.
2017 Week 16 vs CIN (7 / 43 / 1 rush, 0 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)
Tion Green continued to see usage in the Detroit offense, operating as the short yardage and goal line back. Green had key third and fourth down conversions and had a goal line rushing touchdown. Green runs hard, but does not have good vision running between the tackles where he ran into his linemen multiple times.
2017 Week 17 vs GB (9 / 21 / 0 rush, 2 / 2 / 14 / 0 rec)
Tion Green was the second back in the game, and led the Lions in both carries (9) and yards (21). Like Abdullah and Riddick, Green was hampered by an offensive line incapable of creating consistent room to run. Green is a pedestrian back who lacks interior vision to run with any consistency between the tackles.
