Game Recaps

2016 Week 6 vs PIT (3 / 3 / 81 / 0 rec)

Jordan Cameron continues to be inactive as he deals with yet another concussion. Sunday marked the third straight game he's missed. His replacement, Dion Sims has not done much to steal the job or Wally Pipp Cameron once he's healthy. Sims caught one ball for 12 yards on two targets, although it is important to note that he saw a red zone target for the second straight game. He also left the game with a concussion, leaving converted QB MarQueis Gray as the #1 tight end. Gray snuck behind the defense for a big play that Ryan Tannehill extended and he should start if Sims can't play in Week 7.

2014 Week 5 vs GB (2 / 1 / 16 / 0 rec)

Gray was only in for a few minutes at the end of the game but his one reception was a very nice catch, with some added yards afterwards. After he made the catch, he made a defender miss, then headed upfield. He nearly dodged a second tackle but was wrapped up. The catch was on a fourth down play as well, so it netted his team a first down.

2014 Week 13 vs CLE (2 / 2 / 71 / 0 rec)

Filling in for the injured Chris Gragg, MarQueis Gray made the most of his two catches as he tied for the team lead in receiving yards on just two targets. Slipping behind the line of scrimmage on a play fake, Gray ran into the flat uncovered on his first catch. With no defender within 10 yards, Gray ran untouched down the sideline for a 30-yard gain before being pushed out of bounds by safety Jim Leonhard. Again using a bit of deception, Gray's next catch came on a beautiful play design. Lined up as the inline tight end, Gray took one step with the initial flow of the play and slipped around the left tackle. Lost in the play action as the Bills faked a toss, Gray broke up field and again was left uncovered as the Browns clearly lost him in the shuffle. Orton only had to wait for the tight end to get beyond the line of scrimmage before putting the ball on him and Gray did the rest as he rumbled for 41 yards.

2014 Week 15 vs GB (1 / 1 / 7 / 0 rec)

Receiving his target on the Bills opening play, Gray curled up as the catch for a seven-yard gain.
