Recently acquired wide receiver Gardner caught two of the three balls thrown his way. He was targeted by quarterback Damon Huard during only one Kansas City offensive series.

2006 Week 6 vs PIT (4 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)

Gardner saw lots of action in the second half, particularly inside the red zone where he was used on a couple of fade passes in the end zone. Of his five targets, four were in the end zone. He did not register a catch, but he did draw an interference penalty. He was also the target on two of the three Steelers' interceptions.

2006 Week 12 vs DEN (1 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)

Gardner was targeted once over the middle but had no catches. He seems a bit forgotten in the Chiefs' offensive scheme.

Gardner was thrown to in the end zone in the fourth quarter, but couldn't make the grab.

2005 Week 5 vs ARI (3 / 3 / 33 / 0 rec)

Gardner made the most of his opportunities, making three nice catches, and the argument for increased playing time based upon both his performance and talent.

2005 Week 6 vs DET (5 / 4 / 32 / 1 rec)

Gardner made a four yard touchdown reception near the end of the first quarter. He was called for two penalties in the third quarter, one that negated Stephen Davis' 21 yard run.

2005 Week 8 vs MIN (2 / 1 / 7 / 0 rec)

Gardner had just one catch in the first half for seven yards and was not a factor in the passing game.

2005 Week 9 vs TB (1 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)

Delhomme threw to Gardner twice. He failed to make a catch but did manage to draw a penalty after being held in the end zone on one of his targets, giving the Panthers first and goal at the one yard line.

2005 Week 13 vs ATL (1 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)

Gardner's lone target came in the second quarter.

2005 Week 14 vs TB (1 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)

Gardner didn't see the field much in the first half. He was playing behind WR Ricky Proehl as the Panthers fourth wide receiver. His only target came on the final Panthers possession.

2005 Week 16 vs CHI (4 / 2 / 23 / 0 rec)

Acquired after the Panthers cut him, Gardner stepped into three and four wide receiver sets for the depleted Packers. Gardner contributed with two catches and was frequently able to create space in the seam of the secondary.

2005 Week 17 vs SEA (6 / 2 / 44 / 0 rec)

The Packers were committed to getting Gardner some looks in this game so they could evaluate him as a future prospect. Gardner saw two targets on the first Packer drive. He pulled in a short hitch on the sideline and did a nice job of breaking a tackle getting up field for a first down. He followed this up with by catching a short cross and breaking free up the left sideline for a long gain. Gardner was open deep after blowing by CB Jimmy Williams down the left side, but QB Brett Favre was short on his throw allowing the defender to catch back up. Gardner got a hand on the ball, but couldn't make the play. He was also targeted in the end zone on a deep out. Again, Gardner got a hand on the ball, but it would have taken a spectacular catch to pull in the poorly thrown ball.
