WR Corey Fuller - Free Agent
|6-2, 204||Born: 6-23-1990||College: Virginia Tech||Drafted: Round 6, pick 171 (2013)|
2015 Week 13 vs GB (2 / 1 / 15 / 0 rec)
Working more in the absence of Lance Moore, Corey Fuller saw two targets, pulling in one of them for a 15 yard catch on an out route.
2014 Week 3 vs GB (2 / 1 / 52 / 0 rec)
While a role player, Fuller made one of the highlight plays for the Detroit offense against the Packers. In the closing minute of the first half, Stafford loaded up for a deep pass down the field that Fuller high-pointed over a defender. The long gain moved Detroit into field goal range, which they ultimately missed, leading to a 12-7 halftime advantage.
2014 Week 6 vs MIN (5 / 2 / 12 / 0 rec)
Fuller was thrust into a full-time role with the absence of Calvin Johnson this week in Minnesota. Outside of a well-covered back shoulder pass down the field, Fuller's role was as a short-range target. In addition to the deep target, Fuller had a slant route bounce off his hands in the first half. This was Fuller's big opportunity for playing time and 12 yards on five targets, without creating separation with his timed deep speed, was a disappointment.
2014 Week 7 vs NO (5 / 3 / 44 / 1 rec)
Fuller was invisible until the final 10 minutes of the game as Detroit was in comeback mode against the Saints. Fuller got free down the sideline on his first reception, prior to converting a clutch third-and-10 target to keep hope alive. Fuller looked like he could be the goat as he dropped a third down crossing route in the red zone where he may have scored the game-winner. However, he rebounded to catch the go-ahead touchdown in the back of the end zone in the final two minutes. After running a slant route, Fuller continued to the back of the end zone where the coverage lost track of him as Matthew Stafford extended the play. In Calvin Johnson's absence, Fuller came up big in the closing minutes.
2014 Week 8 vs ATL (6 / 3 / 43 / 0 rec)
With Calvin Johnson out of the lineup against Atlanta, Fuller had another opportunity in the starting lineup. It was a mixed performance for Fuller as his most noteworthy play came when he slipped coming out of a deep in-cutting route, which resulted in a red zone interception by Matthew Stafford. Two of Fuller's other targets were inaccurate throw from Stafford and Fuller also drew a defensive pass interference penalty on third down. It was an up-and-down performance for Fuller, matching Detroit's team performance in the comeback win in London.
